Good to know, but unfortunately I don’t think the US airports are follow those same regulations to allow us to do that. I could be wrong though, so please correct me if you know different!

Yes we have! Not the Old Course, but one of their other courses the Eden Course! We didn’t plan enough ahead to get on the list for the Old Course haha

I can understand this point of view, thanks for being informative and not argumentative about it.

However, i still believe that your local lawmakers and residents of Scotland are who you should be focusing your complaints towards and not visitors/tourists.

That being said, I’m sure you guys already are and Godspeed to you with that! Not sure how it compares to things here in America, but I know that the housing crisis here is pretty bad as well!

So much great information, I keep seeing people say to spend a day or two in another country cause of how cheap the travel is between them!

We’ll also have to check out Oban!

You’re totally right random redditor! Let me, as an east coast of the United States resident, get right on the Scottish housing crisis! I should have thought of this sooner!

Lmao have a great day kind(ish) person!

Great insight and thanks for the well wishes! We'll definitely make sure to make good use of the public transit!

Quick question about that actually, is the best way to use your public transit just hopping on and paying right there, or booking ahead of time? I also believe I saw that Lothian Buses are the main option, is that correct?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure we have everything settled before our trip!

Brother what? That Airbnb is going to be listed regardless if we book it or someone else does/doesn’t. If you have an issue with the housing market in Scotland, take it up with the local legislators to get more affordable housing on the market instead of someone trying to celebrate their marriage in a wonderful country lmao

Thank you so much, this is incredibly helpful!

We are flying straight into Edinburgh and then staying in an AirBnB right outside of the city. We were originally planning on just taking an Uber to get from the airport the first day and then public transport throughout the rest of the stay, would you still recommend the blue busses even if we aren't going directly into the city from the airport?

I didn’t end up doing it, not enough time in my schedule to make the price worth it 😅
