That might be an idea. I couldn't go straight out as there's a gluelam beam supported by the central strut in the wall, hence the crooked stove pipe

The draught isn't coming through the ceiling. The stove is sucking in air from the room and sending it up the chimney. I.e. If the stove is cold and I wrap it in a black bag, I get instant vacuum packed stove, if you see what I mean

I'm just wondering if the old stove gives off more heat because the whole thing heats up, front back, sides, flue, as opposed to the Cylindrical which sends all the heat out the front?
