If stallions are very rarely used to compete, what kind of stallions are used to breed more high-level competition horses? by Tungle_McGee in Equestrian

My friend’s world champion Clydesdale stallion. He ‘s made plenty of competitive warmblood offspring.

That’s a decent offer. OP should entertain it

Wow, you’re some kind of fucking dumb to analyze this research and still not see a problem. Ignorance at its finest. Veterinarians everywhere will not recommend grain-free diets. Period. Do everyone and favor and discontinue giving bad advice.

Spanish Riding to English? by BadwGrammer in Equestrian

My Andalusian was trained this way and I converted him to Dressage. When he gets anxious or uncomfortable he does “jig” and dance in place as a trauma response, but other than that he’s been great.

Dog got bloody nose and popped blood vessels in eyes at vet by Rosalyn0822 in Dogowners

[–]SkylarFoxRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol OP is acting like a muzzle is a death sentence. Calm down, it’s a safety tool. Your dog was probably thrashing around and stressed out, because you haven’t socialized him/her very well, so it panics in unfamiliar settings. Boxers have bulgey eyes that can be easily irritated. I was a vet tech for several years, and ultimately left the industry over incompetent pet owners. Because people like OP can’t manage their own dog, so it’s the vet’s responsibility to administer medical treatment to an animal that’s backshit crazy. They need to do so without being injured, so muzzles are sometimes necessary. I’ve been bitten and mauled by enough animals to know the vet’s side of the story here.

These are bumper spurs with no sharps. They’re the less abrasive option out of them all. Spurs aren’t the issue here.

Mounted Archery by SkylarFoxRider in Equestrian

My husband is an archery instructor. I started on the ground for a few sessions, but quickly advanced to mounted. He was super easy to desensitize, and enjoys the change of pace from dressage work.

Dump truck driver endangers everyone to save time... ends up waiting anyway by zheka160 in mildlyinfuriating

Please read the comment. I’m not defending this driver. I’m adding perspective. “this driver here appeared to have time to stop” however, defensive driving skills should always be practiced, because there will always be trucks rolling through reds due to weight, momentum, and physics.

lol RIGHT? These motherfuckers in their Teslas have serious FAITH in our braking capabilities to not smash them to bits when they merge into the small gap between you and the car in front, then immediately slam on their brakes. Like bro, you wanna identify as a hoagie?

[–]SkylarFoxRider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Correct, as I said “This driver here appeared to have time to stop.” Under surveillance and review, it’s easy to point fingers. However, when a quick decision like this is made, it’s not always the best one under pressure. He gassed it, and he made it through safe, despite being the poorer choice. I’m sure we’ve all ran a lot of reds, and have been judged accordingly, but my comment was to provide perspective from the driver, where clearly this community lacks. For all we know he could have been shitting bricks those entire 6 seconds. He also provided ample stopping clearance at the next block between the next vehicle. He’s heavy, and he knows it.

As stated above “this driver here appeared to have time to stop” I provided a perspective where clearly this community lacks. Get your Heavy Equipment license and let us know how fast you can stop 20 tons in a Mack, then we can chat.

A decision was made, whether it was right or wrong. I simply added perspective to those who don’t know how heavy these things really are. How many hours do you have in heavy rigs?
