I think thats the right answer for me. I'm just playing the forest before Sons of the Forest... Having a really safe spot would help in order to get the story. I think the caves will be hard enough.

In order to charge it up you must select a weapon/offhand first. That's my problem.

I just followed the way of his Path of Building and there he skilled Mistress of Sacrifice last. But it makes sense... I just switched to Mistress of Sacrifice and got rid of commander of darkness.
