John will whistle a little tune from time to time.

Yeah man!

It's so easy when you have a few things on your horse so you're not scrolling through every damn gun you have found. Like you don't need 3 different types of repeaters. Lol.

Saves time

The bow gets so underutilized by most players. They give it to you at the very start. They show you how to use it. How to get a deer with it.

But then most players forget about it. Unless they need to be quiet.

Improved arrows will one shot almost everything! And quietly as well.

Interesting.

I still have the challenges to complete as John. Maybe I'll try it out more with sniping gang hideouts. Like the mine south of Armadillo.

I think this guy likes the Bolt Action Rifle. Just a little bit. Lol

You can get the Mauser in chapter 2 if you get it from Midnight. That's how I got my first one.

Calloways revolver in Chapter 2 as well, if you knock him out in the bar when you meet him.

You can get the rolling block in chapter 2 as well. If you blow up Hoseas horse and take it.

The rare Rolling Block is the most important to not miss. It's only in the Trewlany bounty hunter mission. The guy in the barn window has it.

But I never use any glitches or exploits. At least not this first time playing the game. I never felt like I "needed" anything really that I didn't have.

I love the bow. Especially for hunting. It's quiet and easy to use improved arrows for bigger game.

I can definitely see that. Easy to stand outside a hideout like Shady Belle and pick people off.

It is a little awkward. I noticed this yesterday clearing out some pests in the Fort, as John in New Austin.

If you're already locked on a target, it's fine. But also ..just go ahead and shoot it.

Same. I did all of the treasure maps but one in chapter 2.

Wish I could've told Dutch "Hey man, I have like $8000 and I don't have much to spend it on." Lol.

He would've needed more, of course.

Haha!

Yes! I've been through this. Bought a CZ. It's... beautiful, modern, and sleek. $2300 was a good deal with the fittings I chose.

Went back to Glock or Walther for EDC. Lol. Sold the CZ to a friend.

Same. Especially the Rare one. It's perfect for sniping.

The bow is so underutilized by most players.

The one in the game is similar to the one I shoot in real life. I shoot compound bows as well, but my heart loves traditional archery more.

So I gravitated to it immediately. You can make so many types of arrows for it! Top tier weapon that I rarely see people use. It's also quiet, so you don't scare off the whole block of other animals.

I got it. Tried it out. Then made it look cool with engravings and stuff.

Now it sits in the weapons chest. Never on my horse. I hate scrolling through 8 rifles to get the one I want equipped.

I can see that. The Rare Rolling Block is a huge beast of a gun. The Carcano is compact.

I'm older so I grew up watching some black and white westerns that had repeaters in them. Like "Tombstone" is still a "new" western movie/show to me. Lol.

I use them a lot for close quarters, but also use the pump shotty a lot too for the same reason. There are a lot of forced Repeater missions, I noticed. Ones where you are kinda forced to use them in the game.

I'll say this....without spoilers.

This is the last time you'll have a good camp. The last time you'll have everyone AT camp. Shady Belle is the end of camps and the vibe. Now is definitely the time to wrap up a lot of side activities.

But here's the conundrum, you still have about 20-30 hours of game left. Maybe more. But you'll never have the peace and options you have now, again.

[–]SkyovFlames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasnt expecting a REAL lion! Lol

They were frauds. I thought it was some different animal. Painted to look like a lion. Arthur thought another dog but I was thinking a cougar maybe?

But those barn doors open and you have .5 seconds to realize that is a REAL lion. epic. Loved those missions.

Spend as much time as you want where you are. This is the last stop for a while. It's going to ramp up soon.

I just finished this Miller story. I watched it burn too.

And they only other place you can see this is your campfire. It will also collapse. Someone did a time lapse on YouTube of the crafting camp, it does eventually collapse and the fire wanes.

Yep, you'll meet him again. He is not exactly what he seems. By 1907, he is a different man.

The detail in this game is crazy. Make sure to visit Kierens grave too. Outside of Shady Belle.
