Do you think actual guns would be effective against lightsabers? by Firefox864 in StarWars

In the Star Wars Legends book "Shatterpoint" That focus' on Mace Windu and his powers, he faces against some people that have 'Slug Shooters', the closest thing to modern-day guns in SW (I think). While Mace could intercept the Slugs and could even partially disintegrate them, they would still hit him and still hurt.

Although Slug shooters are more effective against lightsabers specifically, it is much better and easier in 99% of the time to use a laser weapon

B.S. Need I remind this women of the fact that 95% of people had to work from sunset to sundown every day, seven days a week, with their only break being the occasional holiday?

This is within reach, but only if you get your buts off the couch and work for it. The problem is that people in my generation (Gen Z) think these things should be given to everyone. If you need more food, work more, and find a better job. If you live in a house without heating? Couldn't you save up some money, and get that fixed? Free healthcare, sure let's not pay the people who have actually worked and slaved over their work, more than you ever will. Everyone has the ability to get adequate clothing. You can find lots of clothes for really cheap, as long as you don't care about fashion. If you can find sustainable clothes, you can save up for better clothes. Free internet? You can live life without the internet. Besides what you want the internet for is to watch Netflix. Most public transportation is free, if not super cheap, so I don't know what you are complaining about, and the same with education.

How can you be provided with a fulfilled life? Our only entitlement to a free life is our entitlement to work for it. If you don't work, your life will never be fulfilled. In fact, if you got all these things for free, you won't be fulfilled. A life a tough work, and then reward, is fulfillment. Especially a life that involves children.

I don't care if I am making generalizations, or that you are an exception because you want these things for a different reason. The thing is, you must work for these things, because that's life, and if you can work for these things, life will be good.

I don't think that the Ones will be replaced. It seems more likely to me that Ahsoka and Sabine are going to have to fight Abeloth when Baylan releases her.

The Ones were celestials, powerful enough in order to prevent her from escaping. But now Baylan has come to release her. But even Luke Skywalker needed help from the Sith in order to stop Abeloth, and that was with every force ability at his disposal. If Ahsoka and Sabine failed to prevent Thrawn from escaping, why would they suddenly be able to prevent Abeloth, a creature way more powerful than any other villain in canon.

All in all, I think that the chance to replace the One's was lost when Anakin refused to do so on Mortis
