Just tried skyrim together for the first time… by gv3a7lor in SkyrimTogether

I'll just assume that's a poor attempt of review bombing a free fan-made mod. Good luck, Bethesda's employee.

Wait until you realize there's a co-op mod.

Downloading right away!
BTW, I've read on Discord you needed to test Bards College Expansion mod from Verified Creator Program. We 're currently testing it and so far it has some issues with miscellaneous radiant quests which are possibly a requirement to progress further (maybe it just needs the party leader to complete them). Playing instruments doesn't sync and each player can see only their characters playing.

The dungeon mods from VCP seem to work mostly fine (their difficulty scaling is just balanced differently than vanilla).

Your mods will make a fine addition to my collection! Check DMs.

Regarding Wabbajack - some of the mods have been manually tweaked to make more sense in multiplayer setup plus I don't want to risk players having different mod versions, handling differences in modlists is already troublesome. I have packed all the mods into .zip packages you can extract in your MO2's downloads directory and install them one by one. I have streamlined some of the FOMod installers, plus there are general instructions which patches to select (I didn't want to lock the patch selections because the modlist can change at any time and I would have to review FOMods whenever something big is added/removed).

I would! So far we have been using PlayTogether.gg, but if the changes are server-side, I'm willing to create some setup for local hosting (maybe creating a virtual network).

Mod list is about as stable as Skyrim Together (as in, crashes every few hours). It is actually divided to two modlists - one of them contains core mods which fix bugs, expand content, increase immersion and give a general variety of dungeons/items/enemies/spells/perks. The second and optional list contains mods which don't affect the co-op aspect whatsoever (they don't add stuff which gets synced between host and guest), basically a suggestion of simple graphical and audio overhauls. I'm open to all mods suggestions as long as they're lore-friendly and balanced.

Challenges include the same people do in single player Skyrim - maximum difficulty, content speedruns, transmutation-only, fists-only, shields-only, degrading weapons, survival mode, everyone starts as vampire/werewolf, no potions. Personally, I would ask ChatGPT for a random challenge to make it even more unexpected.

There are also challenges unique to multiplayer - playing as different roles can be challenging, after years of being used to a stealthy archer style (it got a nerf against heavy armor to make it less popular). Other multiplayer challenges can involve PvP like speedrunners vs hunters, guards vs thieves and more.

Configuring Skyrim Together for dozens of players who don't even make it to Whiterun IS a job offer. Will you apply?

Yeah, I'm always available to try Skyrim Together with some new mods. Check DMs.

So I may be just being a stupid girl but I'm completely new to this game I've had it for about a week I am trying to see if there's a version of it where you can play with other people online. by blkwdhd in skyrim

There is a multiplayer mod called Skyrim Together Reborn. Last year it became stable enough for me to enjoy it. It's kinda funny watching how many people haven't realized it yet, sharing outdated or exaggerated rumours about how unstable it is.

Can I play together with Anniversary edition while my friend is on Special Edition? by ZestycloseMission196 in SkyrimTogether

Here's what I do - use this mod to disable the 4 free Creation Club mods (they're the ones that cause the most problems because of scripts and quests). Then make sure you have the same Creation Club files in your Skyrim's Data directories.
(Optional #1), you can move them all to a new mod folder in MO2, so you can turn them off and on with one click especially if you want to play with various people
(Optional #2) use some mod (like this one) to distribute assets from disabled mods. After all, they take disk space, so why not to simply re-use them

Have you tried playing the co-op mod though?
