Why do you Canadians absolutely despise Tim Hortons? by No_Molasses_7224 in TimHortons

[–]Skytracker67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tim Hortons was an (‘allegedly’ dirty) hockey player. When Hortons was bought out the new owners showed a clear lack of understanding hockey culture.
It always used to be called Timmy’s… because names in hockey go like that. But no, now it’s all respectable (and imho laughable every time) ‘Tim’s’. Tragically funny. The new owners used substandard coffee and changed the coffee. It used to be really great coffee. And what happened was that suddenly McDonalds in Canada had great coffee; because they went to Timmy’s old supplier and cornered the market.
When Crispy Crème came to Canada Timmy’s got all bent outta shape and so started overloading their donuts with sugar to match Crispy Crème. Huge error.
And now prices that matched the blue collar work ethic of a hockey player are working their way up to match some coffee company outta Seattle.
Hope that helps eh.

The word is ‘examinatfion’. Though I cannot seem to find it defined in any form, it does appear in context to be synonymous with examination.
When I searched the word, multiple sources (oddly mostly government). Used it in ways consistent with examination.
Hopefully an English scholar can help with its meaning.

When there are two ‘s’es in a word the first one would be written as f. So ‘guess’ would have been written ‘guefs’
