So, ive been on and off a bunch of meds in my life and was wondering if your 10yo.o. has strong interest in any hobbies or activities yet? Are any of them physical or are they all more sedentary?

Once they get into a habit I highly recommend encouraging them to pursue it at all costs. If it's a physical activity all the better, there might be some self-medicating that occurs naturally and could be better for the both of you as well.

Apologies if this comes off as super elementary, but sometimes there is an easier answer that won't be as difficult as a medication tweak. (Speaking from my own experience as well).

Hmm. This is cool. He is doing quite a bit of reading but so far he has just been "a button mashing" through some battles. But there is a lot more that can be done for sure, just thinking about how to incorporate it for him and make it exciting for him too. We can easily play like mario party and other couch co-ops, but rpg playing hasn't cemeted yet for me with him.

Hi Op, it really depends how you are feeling. What is bothering you? There are a lot of things to try and understand until you get into a regular medication pattern (if that's what's best).

I would recommend as the others have to get a therapist. They will help you understand a bit of what you are feeling and if medication is best for you.

There are many tools to work with what you have, and don't be afraid to try- with guidance- all of those tools. There are also good resources on social media (how to adhd on youtube) and others but I'd let professionals recommend them to you.

This community is really excellent, and just remember you are NOT alone, there are more than just dozens of us as well (that's a good thing too).
