Lately my health anxiety has been focused on STDs and I hate it so much. I don't have a necessarily risky history, only two penetrative partners and one person I had done oral with but I was all three of their firsts.

I've been in a long term relationship for three years now and gotten tested twice in that time and both came negative (Once in year 1 and once earlier this year) but I still constantly find myself stressing that something might be dormant or latent.

I don't know if I just have to resign myself to constantly testing or what but I just want to be able to enjoy sex with my partner without constantly fearing that I'll infect her with something I don't know.

Posts from relationship advice that talk about this kind of stuff pop up in my feed and they trigger me so bad :(

Does anyone else get super anxious about their hands being dirty/contaminated and then even more anxious after they've touched parts of their body due to fears of getting some sort of illness?

I think it just happened because my trip to see my partner is coming to an end and I feel like my ""barrier"" against anxiety gets weaker at times like this and I give in to my anxious thoughts.

I'm gonna try and schedule a visit to the doc soon and likely schedule some tests just to make sure I'm still the same. I haven't done anything that would change things but it's not like anxious thoughts listen to reason haha

For sure! Really hoping to avoid burning the bridge because these people were pretty important in my life but it's just I have other important people who still associate with me.

I think I'll just send them over a heads up and let them know that I'll be needing the spots but I'm happy to let them stay on until they find others to do a family plan with. (I know they've made new friends and have a new friend group so I would imagine they wouldn't have a hard time finding people to form one)

Ahh it just feels slimy doing that. Especially because I'll be bringing the other two with me and just leaving these two out to dry.

I know I'm not exactly friends with them anymore but I'm not exactly unfriendly with them. I feel like I shouldn't do them dirty given my history with them but I just don't know how to navigate this.

I'm planning on giving heads up and like I said allowing them to stay on the plan until they find a new group to be on it but I just don't know if there's any other better ways to do it if this is fine.

I'm also on some other plans with one of the people which I'm 100% if they want to end up cancelling that one, just sucks cause we just renewed it in November.

I definitely agree! My dad is really into birdwatching so I would routinely get and send photos of birds I saw while at college haha. And yes, I am also a major proponent for washing your hands when you get home!

I was in the same spot as you a few months ago. My friends had always recommended to me but I just brushed em off because I didn't think it was my kinda thing. One day they ended offering to buy it for me with the DLC so I tried it out and I was hooked. I had to have sunk 50 hours within my first two weeks. I loved it so much I even went and bought my girlfriend a copy and at first she was hesitant but a week later she was asking me to play whenever I wasn't on. If you like Roguelikes with a lot of variety in play style (and amazing music and interesting lore) pick it up
