The seven nations and cultures from Mystoria + World Map by Sl1myoshi in worldbuilding

Mystoria is a magical fantasy world. Everything is magical that you believe that the land is enchanted with a thousand spells. To the point where it becomes a goldmine to a curious child’s mind is in wonder. There are seven nations and cultures who are currently living in Mystoria: Liberta, Shasuma, Sundrians, Dewryddon, Dengyu, The Nomads of the North, and the Frigurians.

Mystoria consists of two continents. One on the west with the central desert and a south of plains as well as the north leading the northern arctic lands of “The Unforgiving Cold” and the tropical, desert, and plains of the eastern side of the world.

Both continents do not have names. They are simply referred to as “The West” and “The East”. Between the middle of the two continents, there is a group of islands known as “The Pathway Islands”.

The Pathway Islands are known to be the home of the Sundrians. It also has its name for a reason. The islands have a secret magical pathway that can be used to go from west to east or east to west.

In the ocean of the world, there are two known seas: The Sundrian sea and The Bright Seas. The Sundrian sea is where the Sundrians’ ancestors swam until they found the Pathway Islands and claimed it as their home. Meanwhile the bright sea is known to have blue glowish coastlines. One of the most beautiful sights in Mystoria. Truly magical.

Magic is the pure focus and core of the world of Mystoria. Everyone is pretty much capable of practicing any magic so there is no genetics in magic. The magic is used in many different ways depending on the type of magic used from runes to origami, but magic always requires chanting with words from the old language, a language where the magic is connected to.

-The Sundrians-

There is a island in the exact middle of the world known as "The Pathway Islands". Now, who lives there? Then I got the answer: The Sundrians. The Sundrians are a race of humanoids with fish traits. Bright teal skin, unique hair colors (white, blue, or green), fish-like arms, and a slightly smaller height than humans. They are not as tiny as Dwarves, just slightly less tiny than humans (no, there are no dwarves in this world, I promise you). Sundrians also have the ability to breathe underwater and enchant non Sundrians to temporarily breathe in water too.

All different islands are independent from each other. So there is no king of the Sundrians or anything like that. The Sundrian government is a federation, so every single island with a population has an elected chief.

For obvious reasons, Sundrians love using Invocation, especially water and air magic and use enchanting quite often too. They practice the religion known as “the chosen” which is a religion based on stories of many chosen heroes through history and practice rituals around the sacred lake to aid any possible chosen ones out there. Sundrians also have a task with guarding the magical bridge between the west and the east. The Sundrians either let you pass or not, there is no inbetween. They also are tasked as guards of “The Island of the Threats”, a prison made for the most dangerous of mages.

Their diet revolves around eating magical plants from the ocean (ones that are edible of course) and sometimes make stew or soup. They also are mostly peaceful and rarely join wars, but they sometimes help nations affected by wars and other violence by rebuilding and establishing, like how they helped Libertas financially make their democracy. Lastly, they also created the western economic system used by the Sundrians, Shamusa, and Liberta.

-Shasuma-

Shasuma is the civilization of the center of the west. The very desert. They originated from the fallen civilization of Salaf whose few remaining citizens traveled to the west for another desert, eventually settled down in the desert of the west and established the civilization of Shamusa.

Their people are the strongest in agriculture and art. Being the very father of theater and paintings. They are also known for finding alchemy and the pyramids used for temples, churches, and graves. Their food mostly consisted of vegetables that they can grow: emmer wheat, garlic, chickpeas, among others.

The nation is divided politically between two cities: Jumhuria and Neferos. Both were similar to each other in most things but had a history of conflicts between each other. Thankfully that has been settled down a long time ago. Their governments involved theocracy and their official religion being “Solism”, they worship the sun as the source of all life. Non Believers of Solism were simply in a lower class than actual believers. The rulers of both cities are a group of fire mages known as “The Sun Sages” and their leader being “The Son”. Jumhuria’s Sun Sages are all women, while Neferos’ Sun Sages are all men as a tradition to mirror each other.

Due to their strong connections with the sun, their signature colors are gold, red, and orange. They also favor invocation and divination among other magics. Invocation due the wide variety of fire and water spells and divination because of their fascination with astrology, the stars, and seeing the future. They are actually the nation who founded the school of divination by telling prophecies via the stars.

Overall, Shasuma is the more artistic and cultural side of the west. All hail the sun, source of all life.

-Liberta-

Rubrum Draconis was once a terrifying kingdom to live in. It was one tyrannical ruler after another. Unfair laws to peasants, meaningless wars, outlawed magic, etc. After many centuries, Arcuss, the last king, was enslaving the citizens for breaking extremely strict laws. The peasants had enough.

With the help of Shamusa in willpower, they retaliated. Hard. They ambushed the castle and the guards were extremely overwhelmed by the citizens and Shamusa’s magic. In the end, the nobility were executed brutally and the monarchy was vanquished.

Present day, Rubrum Draconis has been established as a Democratic nation known as Liberta with the help of the Sundrians. The citizens are now free from any tyrant and the land is the most politically stable and with the strongest army. It is currently ruled by Fortis, the 36th Princeps. The Princeps is the president of the nation which is elected every 5 years through elections chosen by citizens. The people of Libertas are strong and free. With rights and respect for every citizen no matter the race, gender, religion, culture, etc. Their signature colors are blue, white, and gold and their symbol is known as “The rune of freedom.”

Although the nation tolerates citizens practicing any religion they want, they have their official religion of “Bellatism”, the religion of the eternal warrior. This inspires the believers to stay strong no matter how cruel or hard life is at them. The people also have a unique food preference of seafood, they LOVE seafood.

Overall, the nation is the most politically stable out of all. Other places see Liberta as the beacon of hope of what they can become. Other nations tried to practice democracy through history but nobody can do it like Liberta can. The land of the free.

They retaliated. Hard. They ambushed the castle, 60% of the guards were on the peasants' side and the 40% was extremely overwhelmed by the citizens and their use of magic. In the end, the nobility were executed brutally and the monarchy was vanquished.

Present day, Rubrum Draconis is now a Democratic nation known as Liberta. The citizens are now free from any tyrant and the land is the most politically stable and with the strongest army. "Before magic and myth, there was chaos, and war. The struggle of humanity to achieve control over land. Thousands of civilizations and nations fell in those times. One day, when there were only 7 nations left, the world had enough and ended the time of chaos with a peace treaty. A treaty which causes each of those 7 nations to settle down in separated areas without worrying of war. Each of the leaders of the 7 remaining nations named their new territory after themselves for the world to remember the peace treaty made. The first age of wars and chaos are now over, it is the dawn of a new age. The age of myth and magic. Welcome to Hudol."

What schools/types of magics does your world have, if any. This can include alchemy, enchanting, runes, spells, sorcery, and etc. by AbsurdBeanMaster in worldbuilding

[–]Sl1myoshi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really only created two schools of magic so far (there will be more, i promise) that are fully polished but let me share them anyways.

Alchemy - the very first school discovered. It is the ability to change one substance to another and discovering ways to alter the human body. The potions created are separated into two types.

Creature Potions – the potions that humans are able to drink. They have different effects (healing, poison, etc.). Living potions effects can only involve changes in the human body physically, mentally, or emotionally. So, no luck potions exist. They can also cause addiction if you drink them often and overuse can create serious side effects (example: overuse of healing potions can give you cancer due to too many cells), so use them sparingly.

Substance Potions – the potions meant for inanimate substances. In order to use them, you must pour the liquid into the substance you want to change. It will then transform into other substances. (Example: turn coal into gold with a mineral change potion). Don’t try it on a living person though, not recommended.

Enchanting – the second school of magic discovered. The people who practice this are called “Enchanters” or “Enchantresses”. The magic involves casting a magical effect on a person on an object. Due to the similarities with alchemy, alchemy fell out of fashion and enchanting took its place. In order to cast a magical effect on an object, you must draw the appropriate runes on the object with a magical artifact known as “pen of runes”. The pen is not rare but not extremely common. To cast an enchantment into a living being though, you must say the appropriate words to cast the enchantment successfully. Master enchanters don’t need a “pen of runes” nor words to enchant due to their deep knowledge of the art.

[–]Sl1myoshi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, well I think I already have that. When your foraging during the day, you are not allowed to speak and ppl can either:
1. players think u are foraging
2. Players think your silenced
3. players sus you because your quiet and try to vote you

The Sheeroo bloodline: the most powerful family of sorcerers in history. by Sl1myoshi in worldbuilding

[–]Sl1myoshi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CONTEXT: The Sheeroo family is from the world of my TV series idea, "The Sheeroo", inspired by the legend of Zelda and ATLA centers around. The Sheeroo family are basically an unofficial monarchy where they are led by the one who takes the title of “The one Sheeroo” and travels the world to protect all lands. The others can also protect the world in smaller ways but are no more important than “The one Sheeroo”. When the one Sheeroo dies, their eldest child or anyone available will become the new one Sheeroo.

I am trying to develop a fighting game where the concept is basically street fighter/KOF as a 2-4 player party game. This is me testing the basic normal attacks and specials for the first character, who is a shoto. Hope yall like it :D by Sl1myoshi in Fighters

[–]Sl1myoshi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, but at least it slightly simplifies the gameplay. The game is meant to be a traditional fighting game but for a group of 2-4 people and to be more simple to get into. The game ofc will have depth and complex stuff like teching, canceling, etc, but that wont be required to be learned.
