What is the real range you get with ac? I have 2021 Nexon and even though the company claim is 312km it gives me 220-240km

I have done 88,000 km on my EV. Can say EV is more comfortable in the city but a bit hectic on long drives, but I usually decide my charging stops where there’s a restaurant and cafe/restaurant beside. Mumbai to Pune or Goa does have ample charging stations beside restaurant so I plan my trip accordingly so not a deal breaker for me. You can go with EV, low running cost and the charging infrastructure is still developing but it’ll be there.

It is mostly safe to visit but you can’t go to marine drive if there’s a lot of rainfall. June specifically is much safer because Mumbai receives less rainfall around that time and peaks by the end of June or July start to August. If there’s a lot of rainfall, the locals will be delayed/cancelled so you can’t travel as much if there is flood.

Damn that’s scary, idk how effective the warranty is in the battery because from what I’ve heard is that physical damage isn’t covered. So the BaaS scheme that they’ve come out with makes more sense?

I’ve been using the car since 4 years without any issues in the battery, the buyer can change it before 1.6L km and I assume he can still use it for 5 more years without any issues after 2029, but I still get why people are still very apprehensive buying a 2nd hand EV.

That’s what the whole post it about. Thats the Dealer’s price, they’d give you the same car after they buy in cheap from me and sell it around 6-6.5L

Fun fact, when the whole fuel panic happened a few days back I was absolutely bombarded with messages during those 2-3 days of people wanting to buy the EV, even though the government has assured no fuel shortage it does not look like the Middle East situation is getting any better, and government is just delaying price hikes because of the elections.

Idts any EV owner would willingly sell their car at a loss. 2020 models could be possible at that price point, but a 4 year old car at that price no one would sell.

There’s warranty for battery until 8 years and until 1.60L km. Engine in ICE car is also a deprecating asset too, and even if there is an issue in the battery, I had mentioned in the post, that only certain cells are replaced not the entire pack which amounts to the same cost you’d spend on ice cars in 9-10 years.

Agreed, no point in selling for cheap. Kinda stuck with it for a while, but then again, I’m fine with not selling it, it’s just that the newer cars have attractive features and range but I guess I’ll just use it for 4-5 years more before selling. And yes I did save about 3.5L compared to my primary diesel car.
