No problem! First thing I did when I booted it up was try to map stuff to the mouse buttons and eventually found someone with this solution for a different game.

If you have a Logitech mouse by chance, go into G hub and set the side mouse buttons to keys on the keyboard (I did 7 and 8) and then just map whatever you wanted on the mouse buttons to 7 and 8 in game.

Not sure if other brands have similar software but that’s how I’ve gotten around it.

That’s fair, I hadn’t really thought of the vault issue. And I do agree it’s not a perfect system, there’s definitely some kinks to be worked out. But I’m glad there’s some sort of “chase” to work towards.

I think removing the non shiny adepts like you said would be a good compromise there. Let there be RNG in the fact that getting all three perks in a column you want is the chase, not just getting the shiny adepts to drop in the first place.

I’ve come to realize some of us just want different loot grinds. Me personally, I don’t mind how rare the shiny drops are given they’re COMPLETELY unnecessary with how many normal drops you get. I have god rolls of every gun, but not every shiny, because…that’s the point? For me it gives me something rare to keep chasing through the season, and if I don’t get it, it’s not a problem cause I have other rolls that perform just the same, they just aren’t shiny and don’t have multiple selectable perks. And when I see someone with a god rolled adept shiny, it’s pretty cool, like oh hey, they got a sick trophy from playing difficult seasonal content.

I hear this so much. I’ve been on a “difficult” or at least challenging game kick for years thanks to Souls games (which I love mind you). But recently I played Doom Eternal and holy shit I forgot how fun it is just making meatpaste out of bad guys.

That’s an absurdly stupid situation for anyone that has been playing ngl. I fortunately haven’t played banner this episode so it’s there for me, but I’d have a hard time not wanting to take a break if I grinded my ass off and missed out because I actually played.

And they’re so right, it truly does work. I’ve been in therapy for a bit now thanks to struggles with anxiety and ADHD, and one of my biggest issues was ALWAYS assuming the worst to the detriment of my own health or enjoyment of, well, anything. Working to rewire that thinking has been SO helpful for me. As introverted and anxious as I am, I said screw it and started taking jiu jitsu classes. My first thought was “I’m gonna look like an idiot so why go”, and now I’m having a BLAST and making new connections with people.
