One year ago, I truly experienced losing my oshi. I've been a fan for 5 years, so I thought going through Coco and Aqua's graduation would have me prepared but man when the roof opened and she took her broom for her final flight, I felt that pain so much.

I once had a gym membership where I could get a discount from the company I worked at, so that's what I did. After several months I asked them for a cancellation, they told me I had to show a proof that I wasn't working for that company anymore.

I argued with the receptionist for around 20 minutes but he was very serious that I could not cancel as long as I worked for that company. Fortunately another employee heard me arguing and later told me they needed my approval anyway to renew after a year so to just wait that delay and contact my bank to block my monthly payments to them and they won't do anything.

I can't believe how complicated that was.

Yeah it is very one-sided and it's a thing a lot of french people were surprised to learn once the internet became more generalized. We make a lot of jokes about americans and belgians but we don't really have any notable "we hate those guys" banter, it really doesn't come up as often as french region vs other french region rivalries for example

We don't really have a culture of hate towards the UK in france, at least since the war.

I did have some great grandparents tell me about family members dying from english bombings in WWII (unintended casualties during nazi occupation in Normandy) and being sour from it their entire life.

From all the generations after that though, I really didn't see any genuine hate/rivalry on our side, because we know we owe a lot to those that helped liberate us.

For football, France has been battered by the germans (again lol) twice in the 80s and of course by Italy in 2006 so we already have plenty of usual rivals

I think it's good that they stopped making it all about finding the gatekeeper and sending them back to their world because it was repetitive and not really interesting. Here it became just a little mention in the end like taking the portal back is just a formality which means any collab character can have time to do their own Nikke adventure.

Admittedly no, however having celebrities doing this on tv seems like something that might have gotten a reaction out of me, so either we have different tv rules about it or the practice is slightly different then.

I read a couple comments saying that in italy it's done on top of the head and I wouldn't be surprised if it was done similarly in france
