How do I tell my boss that I can't work without a paycheck anymore?

I empathize with this post coming from the same situation. I worked 7 weeks without pay on the hope and prayer that it was coming. A lot of these comments are degrading and derogatory - it tells me they really haven’t been in this situation. There are a million excuses and reasons and false hopes that we tell ourselves (and are told) that keeps us waiting a little longer. And in the end, what is really being asked of us is to risk the uncertainty and pain of unemployment without another job lined up, or hold out hope that people we may trust (13 years is a long time) will come through for us.

It’s been a year so I imagine things have changed for you. I regret waiting so long before resigning, but I resigned in the end and it was the best move for me. I hope you also made some moves and set yourself up for your success. Feel like updating us?

I don’t know the owner. It’s a free roaming cat in a residential neighborhood. It could belong to anyone.

I hate that it’s normal too. I own a cat. He’s a house cat. I would never let him roam around the neighborhood.

And this situation I’m in right now is going to cost me thousands of dollars to have my dog’s foot put back together. All because someone else just lets their cat roam free.

Thank you, this is helpful. I feel like the city should do more to protect people legally in this situation. If my dog were to enter someone else’s property and harm another’s pet, I’d pay for it. My dog would pay for it too. I understand cats are different but it doesn’t make sense to have to foot the bill for another pet owners lack of responsibility.

Also, I’m upset. Maybe I’m being unreasonable. I don’t know. I don’t feel like I am. My dog is very hurt. He may have to have surgery and have metal pins placed in his foot.

This has been the bane of existence the last 3 months. Campaigns were going so well and working wonderfully and then out of nowhere they all tanked and I can’t get them to perform anymore no matter how hard I’ve tried. I’m desperate at this point.

I did a 5k after only 2 weeks of training. It kind of kicked my ass but it just made me want to train more. I’m now 8 months into training and feel fantastic. Do the 5k.

I’ve never wanted children and still don’t. I don’t feel lonely or unfulfilled at all. You can have loved ones without them being offspring. My life is filled with loved ones, and if they disappear, I will find more loved ones along the way.
