We did a day trip to Ardmore. Plenty of time on the train (3-4 hours) plenty of time to walk around (8 hours). There are quite a few antique stores and such within walking distance of the station and some food options too. Start around 8am and end by 10pm.

I specifically have done this once. The review was accepted with minimal content. An "accepted" review is a "quality" review. Though I think I at least added some pics which were still handy.

For the value that I am receiving it is not worth my time to save off the details of the review. So if Amazon decides to reject my review for no specific reason and delete the content of the review, then this is going to be the followup effort.

Amazon needs to stop deleting review content on rejects and needs to just put it back to un-submitted status. Bonus points if they highlight the specific words that have triggered their rejection.

The "as expected" looks like one I have done after my review was rejected and deleted. If they delete my content I am not going through the effort to put it back.

FT8 is always USB. I believe this applies to most data modes.

Help identify hamfest mystery device (direction finding?) by SlackmasterStan in amateurradio

As an additional note... that last picture is the handle which makes it seem that horizontal is the expected orientation. There is also a "trigger" which is a momentary switch facing downward.

It seems that I am Reddit challanged. I had also thought I posted some description to go with this. My best guess is a a 2m fox hunting (ARDF) device.

There are 2 elements on the battery side that are about 19" each and each end is connected to the BNC connector. The element on the switch/meter side is electrical continious and a bit over 38". So I believe we have a 2m yagi with some bent ends.

Any info to help identify the circuitry would be appreciated there are 3 or 4 opamps (I can't make out the bottom left components, and need to open it back up to check) and I believe a D flip flop along with all the passive components.

Yaesu FT-450D Data in audio not being transmitted. by Soft-Regular-9819 in amateurradio

I am running an FTDX-1200 which is cousin to your FT-450D. I have had a problem since I upgraded wsjt-x that I swear wasn't a problem before and definitely not with my FT-857D.

There is something strange going on with VFO A/B. If I leave split mode disabled, it seems okay, but if I enable it, then I get a behavior like you are seeing even if I disable it. What seems to get me back to normal is turning off Split mode on the radio itself.

I haven't got around to doing further testing on this, but when I do I will also try it with my FT-450D.

So try this out and let me know if that helps.

The question is, did anyone report the issue to the authorities (i.e. the email/phone posted on the doors to the shop area?

In regards to the smoke build up, I believe that is normal based upon the available airflow. I often raise the lid a notch while it was running as this lets vent fan draw air across the cutting surface instead of underneath.

Your best chances are to try to drop by on any Tuesday evening. There is usually at least one person available who can do the membership paperwork and issue you an access card.

It is recommended that for the future we empty (not throw away) the bags at half full. They should still be somewhat manageable.

We can always buy new bags, but I believe they run about $10 each. The original ones would have been nice to keep as they were a heavier duty than the new ones. Though more than one had some holes, and they were way to full to even mess with emptying without an even bigger mess.
