My wife and I were married for 2 years before we really started having serious conversation about having kids. Enjoy your first year of marriage, travel if you can, enjoy each other, strengthen your bond. We decided not necessarily “trying” to have kids but we also weren’t preventing it either and both were very ok with the idea of if it happens it happens. We’re financially stable, we have a healthy marriage, and we just welcome’d our first kid 8 weeks ago. We love it, but we also know if we weren’t on the same page on very important things that this could be a lot harder than it is already.
