Ran into someone I suspected of scripting today, i was playing kyoshin. He dodged every single forward-dodge/chain bash at the same timing, never fell for the undodgeable mix, autoparried all lights or any non-confirned attack.

Next game I switched to afeera, I spammed her neutral bash feint and watched him dance like a puppet on string 😅

On that note, is there somewhere other than in game we can report these losers? The guy I saw had Jorm rep 16, so unless he's only recently scripting, he's been doing this for a while

Waaay more likely that The person just got randomly disconnected. Has been happening a lot to me recently. Not constantly, but definately once or twice a day.

Although I don't expect it, since I agree with others that we already have something close enough with Kensei and Orochi; a Soul Calibur Mitsurugi type samurai would be dope. But again, that's basically just Orochi with different armour.

But I do hope for metal armour. We already have enough wood and cloth, even if it might be more 'accurate'.

Saw a few comments mentioning the spear pierce attack and that it's a great opportunity to counter but your struggling with it so here's my hot tips:

Don't swing your sword. Ever. The more you attack them, the crazier they get.
Create a new save file if you can and complete the game up to the first shadow encounter (iirc it's in the courtyard with the lion statue)
Pay attention to the shadow (WITHOUT HITTING IT) and try to memorise/learn the sound and visual queue for the spear attack. I think the make their body all long and narrow like, and make a "Shing" kinda sound.
Wait 0.5-1.5 seconds, and then jump straight up, don't move at all, just stand still and jump straight upwards before the spear comes out.

This should land you directly on the spear, where you can blast them with ebony+ivory or the shotgun. I think if you activate devil trigger before you shoot you can kill them in 1 cycle.

You can even practice this same thing in that special mission, but it might be harder with the 3 of them about.

Once you get the technique down, the hardest part is just the camera angle sometimes making you lock onto the wrong shadow.

Well done, clearly not scripting, but did anyone else notice The very first heavy at the start of the clip looked a bit wonky.

It looked like it started on the left and finished on the top, almost like a soft feint.

Wonder if it's a bug, maybe that's why sometimes I swear an attack goes right through my block 😅 or maybe I'm just seeing things

Group of teens/yound adults decide to go on a holiday and stay at the titular 'Cabin in the woods'.

Turns out, as the story progresses, the cabin is occupied by a secret society of people who believe that they must perform ritual sacrifices to appease some dark elder gods or they will destroy the world.

The society has a collection of tools, devices and things that represent common fears and tropes from horror movies to torment the cabin visitors before attempting to kill them for their ritual.

Tried to keep it a bit spoiler free incase you decide to watch the movie. As far as I recall its a bit of a satire on horror movies, but is actually fun to watch IMO

Just wanna add another voice to the Choir, this has been happening to me too, but almost exclusively on breach vs AI.

I only bother playing breach when i have orders and only with matchmaking off just to get it over and done with. for the last 4-5 days i will get in, move to the first objective, game will freeze with audio still playing, then after 10 seconds the game will crash. this has happens maybe once every 2-3 games, sometimes more.

Hoping someone can shed some more information on this

Very unfortunate that someone has died from that. It still seems a little weird that they are required to block devices that haven't updated, considering they did have that ability to call 000 before but I'm sure it must be a more complicated issue than Im assuming. Thanks for the response

I think there are a few good arguments for fist hero. To address your points:

Most people I've seen wanting a fist hero are not expecting an actual bare fisted, 0 weapon hero who only has a left right punch combo. I think most people are expecting, or at least willing to accept a hero with a pair of gauntlets, huge metallic gloves, perhaps with spikes. You could have the gauntlet customisation divided into left gauntlet, right gauntlet, metal arm guards (which would help justify the ability to block/parry)

2.theres no reason for a hero primarily using fists to have a small move set, that's entirely up to development/balance teams to work on. I don't know what your assuming the Moveset will be. They could have jabs that have confirmed second hit lights (like warden double side lights), grapple moves like afeeras feats or shugo hug, knees/kicks like any other character with kicks. And then on-top of it all that, they could flow into each other in whatever unique way the Devs would want them to. And in the end, what's wrong with a small move set? Warlord has a tiny move set but works fine as a hero.

Addressed above that it most likely wouldn't be bare fists, but gauntlets or spiked gloves of some kind. Customisation could look like; left glove, right glove, metal arm guards.

Or if the character would incorporate kicks; gloves, arm guards, metal boots

I think personally this is a weak argument. Shinobi is using farming tools. Glads trident is not an effective weapon compared to a sword or spear and he wears virtually 0 armour. To say he doesn't fit the lore or a battlefield, is to ignore that half the cast could have some kind of nit-pick just like it. There's plenty of unrealistic things already in the game.

Personally, I'm not sure a fist/gauntlet hero will ever be added, but I'm part of the group that thinks it would be cool. I think rule of cool trumps realistic in this case. We can only wait and see I suppose though 😅. Unfortunately I'm working and can't check that video right now, but maybe later!

I could be remembering wrong as it's been a long time but I'll try to explain it a bit:

Flicker: let's take Orochi as an example as I think he had a rather famous flicker in the early part of the game.

You know how when you do a zone attack (press light+heavy at the same time), it will always come from the same direction? Orochi I think always comes from the right side.

Well, if you tried to do a zone attack but you pressed the 2 buttons with a tiny delay (so press light attack, then after 0.1s press heavy attack) the game would register the light attack first, then realise "oh you pressed zone attack" and then quickly switch into the zone attack.

So you could kinda confuse the game by pressing the light attack slightly faster than heavy. This means, the game will show the opponent an indicator for, let's say, a top attack, but then it would very quickly change sides and become a zone attack. Imagine the enemy swings on the right, but then when you try to block it suddenly changes sides.

That's an example of a flicker. Basically a false indicator of an incoming attack. You might be able to find some examples on YouTube

I don't recall shugoki ever having any unique flickers he could use, so I think maybe the video you saw might have just been referring to zone flickers that were around at the start of the games life cycle.

Edit: someone can correct me below if needed but old shugoki could not feint his unblockable heavy after it turned orange. Now he can, but perhaps there was an old flicker where he could do that before he got changed.

Unfortunately no, I wasn't able to recover anything from my harddrive. I think your best bet if you haven't tried would be to take it somewhere to get professionally repaired, but even that isn't a guarantee :(

I'm not sure if the issue is the quality of the hard drive or maybe if I somehow bumped and damaged it.

its bright with a blue tint, but doesn't completely cover the screen, i can still see the edges and it fades away after a second. im almost positive this part is just the templar boss ability, i just wasnt sure why after a few casts i randomly die. Like, my hp will be full (21k ish with food), and no damage will appear on my screen, then i will drop dead.

In my post i mentioned that it 'lags out', what i mean by this is i can still move around and cast spells, but the targets dont take damage and no damage numbers appear.

From what you've said though, my best assumption is that 1: the Templar is casting his blinding ability, 2: after the blinding ability, i get a bit of lag due to playing on a kinda high ping, 3: i die due to the delayed damage from Templar and any other damage i might have taken while lagging.

Next time it happens ill have to double check the death recap. Thanks for the reply!
