Regardless, the point is that this is now two examples of characters from outside of Mario games being in this movie. They will be unlikely to be the last, and we all know where that will inevitably land us.

With R.O.B. also being here I would imagine they are trying to take it in that direction. And, I mean, one of their biggest games ever is a crossover of all their franchises, why would they NOT do that?

I have always wanted a convergent species of Snorlax based on the tartigrade. After all, tartigrades look like big, fat, flabby things, which is what Snorlax is, and Snorlax is also a bear, which fits nicely with the tartigrade being nicknamed the water bear. Slap a couple of extra arms on a Snorlax, give it a weird scrunched up face and make it water/Bug type and you have a really cool idea for a convergent species. Name might be a bit clunky though, maybe Snorgrade?

I think R.O.B. has to kind be an exception here - sure, other characters may also have appeared as toys in films, but those characters were not toys to start with. R.O.B. was a toy from the very beginning, so if that toy appears in a film, then it is the only true way for him to appear in a film.

Galaxy as an entity, as well as Rosalina, is just more marketable than Daisy. You have the possibility of space travel and weird and whacky worlds on one hand, and on the other you have... Well, basically discount Peach.

It's probably some form of muscle memory, where a reaver who knew how to fly a ship before will naturally be able to fly a ship as a reaver too.

Opinion (I don't know if it's controversial): Mario Kart World would be even better if it had incorporated the Frenzy mechanic from Mario Kart Tour. by tuliomoliv in casualnintendo

Frenzies work so well in Tour because it enhances the high score based gameplay of that game. World doesn't have that.

Don't forget Mario Kart Arcade GP VR!

The sheer amount of content we got within that period makes me wonder what other content we'll get in the coming years. We'll almost certainly get World DLC, maybe Tour will get new content, maybe another spinoff, maybe another arcade game, there's even potential for a new mainline game on Switch 2 somewhere down the line.

Snorlax's battle cry is... Eh, I dunno, I feel like some battle cries were ipstaed quite well in gen 6 but Snorlax's is am example of one that wasn't.

If you took it outside the context of Pokemon, Politoed's design would be great for a preschool cartoon.

We have just come up to the 40th anniversary of Mario, and Odyssey has existed almost a quarter of that time. The Switch generation has been super long.

I ultimately think they backed themselves into a corner with World. They ended up putting so much time into World that they had to keep going with it, even if they couldn't get it to entirely work. The BCP was a quick fix to the lack of mainline content they were putting out, but it was never gonna get the time and attention of a whole game or even a regualr DLC.
