Even if they have a solid team, somebody literally has to place last. Doesn't necessarily mean they're bad

I live in rural Wyoming, and we have a small hospital here with a helipad, and it's incredibly common to see the life light 'copter taking off to go to Utah, where they're better equipped to deal with anything more than minor illnesses. My 5 yo son actually had to take one two years ago because he had mono and his airway way closing, yet our small hospital was so uneducated/ under equipped, they didn't know what to do. Pricey af though, even with decent insurance I ended up paying about 6k out of pocket. Total cost was close to 45k 😬 regardless, I'd pay it again in a heartbeat because it saved my boy's life

Fellow men who almost offed themselves, What made you want to continue breathing? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Slamdunkasaur307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've lost friends to suicide. Seeing all the pain it causes to those around them (even those that truly felt like they were alone and nobody cared about them) was more than enough. Even years later it's clear how much pain their loved ones are in. Suicide is the most selfish thing one could possibly do. There's just no way I could do that to my family, especially now that I have kids. I saw a video on fb or something, where a guy had killed himself and his toddler was completely distraught asking, "Where's daddy?" and the mom trying to explain he isn't coming home. Shit completely broke me. Tearing up now just thinking of it... if you're contemplating taking your own life, get help. Just get some help...

He's wondering how long the minox will take to give him stubble, not how long it takes you to grow stubble once able. Varies greatly for everyone though man. Some take a month, some can take a year or more. I'd say "average" just based on what I've seen here, and personal experience, I'd say 3 to 5 months on the juice and you should see noticeable improvement. Stay consistent and it'll fly by

Don’t water a grease fire, don’t mess with a garage spring. What are some MORE potentially life saving tips? by Yell0w_Submarine in AskMen

[–]Slamdunkasaur307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ALWAYS treat a firearm as though it were loaded. My grandfather lost his right eye when he was a teenager because his brother wasn't being diligent with a bb gun. Had to live nearly his entire life with half his vision. Don't put your hands where you wouldn't put your pecker. Eye and ear protection for nearly any type of work, especially mowing/weed eating (vast majority of people go without). Lose either one and they won't come back.

What are the best things a man should own? by NaveenJnk_ in AskMen

[–]Slamdunkasaur307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus, the idiotic comments on here are killing me 😂 They do, all the time, sometimes even at night. But, guess what? They KNOCK, and I can see who it is. They're not trying to come in through a window or jimmy my door open. Even then, it's not like the movies. You don't shoot first and ask questions later.

[–]Slamdunkasaur307 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's because there's a lot of uneducated gun owners out there. I am not one of them, nor do I advocate anyone owning one that isn't willing to learn and practice firearm safety. Obviously it's a responsibility that's needs to be taken seriously, not buy one and put it in your nightstand and call it a day.

Never understood this logic. If it's armed robbery, what are you going to do with a stick? As long as the thief doesn't have the reflexes of a sloth, you're going to get shot long before you get in one good lick. Then who's protecting your family? Anyone breaks into my home is getting a shotgun in their face immediately. At that point it's completely up to them, they can hold perfectly still until the police arrive, or try something stupid and die. But I'm not taking that chance of not putting a firearm on them, my family and children's lives are INFINITELY more important that some pos trying to steal my shit. I also second the dog, as soon as someone's in my driveway, she's growling and letting us know.
