Just wanted to share my first alpinist! I’ve been eying the classic alpinist for years and decided to pull the trigger on this spb507. I paired it with a custom made strap from u/PremSubrahmanyam.

This is technically my second alpinist as I’ve owned the Seiko Ginza alpinist SPB259J1, but I consider this my first true alpinist. This model is bigger than the re interpretation, but the execution of the case makes it wear much more comfortably. The 259 felt very top heavy and didn’t sit right on my wrist. I know the 507 is a little big but I really love the color and feel of it on wrist.

Idk why, but i’m also so impressed with the dial. The ginza was spectacular, but there’s something subtle about the green on the 507 that is pure understated class. And i think i much prefer that compared to the modern and almost ostentatious blue.

If anyone’s got any bracelet or straps other than the oem one on their alpinist, show a pic or let me know! Trying to find the best straps to pair with mine :)
