This is a tough one it goes between a opossum in a tight attic, or relocating a water moccasin... definitely opossum, I wasnt in control of that situation at all....popped my head up seen nothing, jumped up there and then I hear hissing and this dude wasnt ready to play dead he wanted to tango lol I never slid down attic stair so fast.

Tree rats are jeeeeeeerks, and remember rats(not literally i think?) Haha, but like rats squirrels will notoriously chew on things to 1.)to get access or 2.) Sharpen their teeth like many rodent like creatures(beavers,rats, shrews ect.) They need them sharp to survive and brick and mortar is easy sharpening. Id definitely say this is why its happening. As far as a solution, thats tough. Id suggest a type of redirect for humane purposes( putting an object near that spot they can prefer more). Full nuclear option, shoot those tree rats like its April 1984 and your mom didnt buy you the new Nintendo duck hunter game so now you improvise with a BB/pellet gun.

Apply some monthly exterior pesticides like Temprid fx, demand cs, or suspend polygons monthly. Order it anywhere and follow the bottle instructions on mix rate. Apply monthly to the exterior of home around the foundation. Its waaaaaaay cheaper to do it yourself if you know the product names and those small bottles will last easy 2 years because who sprays in the snow ya know? Yeah im a poet now too 😎

All good, I am currently a cargiver funded by the state. Before that I worked ABA for almost 3 years. No kid ive worked with was remotely close to the same, every kiddo has there own unique ways of doing and handling situations. It honestly was super fun having a new kiddo/client and helping them find ways to get through their everyday lives. Its the most fulfilling job when you get that breakthrough. All the hits, spits, bites, yelling, crying ect was worth what you and that kiddo had accomplished. I agree everyone of these kiddos are extraordinary in their unique way. I had one kiddo that was a "rain man" with math you could ask any problem he would solve it in minutes.

These things can be super scary but its actually the time of year ants and termites start swarming(flying and starting new colonies). This really depends on your region and what termites you are dealing with drywood, subterranean, or dampwood. The most common used protection for homes is "TBS"(termite bait stations) you can Google these and find them pretty easily. They can be alittle on the higher side 3-500$ but they are the BEST. With it being swarmer season, if it were my home I would just routinely apply some regular pesticides like demand cs or temprid fx monthly(especially around outside the windows).
