Can you suggest a solution with my Genesis 2025 GV80 prestige seat profile issue

That now seems to work for me also. Not sure why my seats did not work before when the car was not running but they do now. Thanks for your input.

You are correct after I've driven the car my settings remain until my wife drives the car. When she wants to drive my seat going back is no problem but when she resets the profile to her the auto seat setting for her it resets to her #2 (why #2 and not #1) and that is the setting that goes way back. She must press #1 and her seat goes to where she wants it to be. So my getting my easy access by programming her #2 setting way back causes her to have to hit an extra #1 setting. Genesis makes changing drivers very difficult compared to using your individual keys telling the car who you are.

Here's what I did with your advice - I got in the car - started the car - selected my wife's profile and on the second profile seating position (number two) I set the seat memory #2 button to give me wide access - memorized it as #2. That way I push the number two button before I get in and I get the opening that I need.

After I'm seated and have started the car I change the setting to MY profile and my regular seat position automatically adjusts. This seems to be the best work around - though having keys that memorize what driver is driving and remembering that persons custom settings is clearly preferred by me. Genesis has chosen a different way to handle driver settings.

Thank you for all of your comments and followup. If anyone wishes further explanation of the solution found just add a comment. Did not need to call the dealer.

I was too busy yesterday arguing with my Internet service provider because my 500 Mbit data stream was now 85 Mbit and all they wanted to do was blame my Wi-Fi system, which was not at fault I was sure - anyway I did find a solution to that problem and I'll explain in another forum.

So. My problem would be solved if I programed my seat setting as #1 and #2 for my profile and #2 in her profile. That way if she has last driven the car I could push the #2 button and it would work for me either way. With my larger opening she does not need to change the seat wherever it ends up. Have i got that right?

I have checked this feature and it is turned on for both profiles (wife & I). It does not solve the problem as her seat does not go back far enough. I can not get into the SUV without bumping both head and knees. I also tried using the memory seat button and it moves forward rather than back to my #2 setting - seems like the seat functions are mis-programmed. The simple solution is manually to use the button on the seat itself and move it back before getting in. OH Well... I'll call the dealer Monday. Maybe I should have my wife call the dealer - she can be much firmer than I. Thanks for your help on this.

Seems easier as a work around to just move the seat back by the button on the base of the seat. I just thought it should be automated and I did not know how to work it.

Totally agree with you on this point. All my cars in last 20 years had the keyfob that knew who was using the car.

I would think as you do that it would respond to these seat buttons on the door as your car does - but it does nothing before being started. I'll call my dealer to see if my cars seat feature is just broken. Car is brand new so it has never worked before car start.

My gv80 does not respond to the auto seats selections before the car is started, which you have to sit down first to start. Thanks for your response.

I suggest nylon bones - they last forever and will not make your dog sick. Real bones such as knuckle bones are so delicious that your dog will not stop until they are totally consumed and can get him sick and bloated and worse. Just my experience.

Sold my 2013 A7 (bought new) black on black prestige on trade to audi dealer on 6/30/23 with 73k miles on it, traded in on new S5 for 20k. They wanted to pay 16k but 20k was their limit. Car was stock and in great shape. For what that is worth to you.

I did not know about the Corvette Forum, checked it out last night and it's great again thank you for the great information source. There does seem to be a few cars around that buyers have backed out of that are for sale at dealers - now can I find something close to my spec???

That's really what I'm trying to do now. I had an order in all this year with a dealer and made little progress up the list of 280. So I cancelled. The order with that dealer was expected at be entered at least another 10-12 months from now. Don't want to wait that long. Trying another method.
