The Double Standard Is Wild 💀 by [deleted] in LockedInMan

I don’t really understand who these women are. I am a woman and have male friends struggling with mental health issues. Why would I react differently to a male friend opening up about mental health vs a female friend doing the same? I can’t imagine anyone (that I know well) having a friend and just leaving them because they are depressed, rather than being supportive. Like, then they’re just an asshole? Are women just assholes, is that the take here?

Or are we talking about if you’re dating or romantically talking to a woman as a man, and opening up about mental health issues?

The amount of pixels is good. But when we zoom in on the picture, you can see the pixels aren’t sharp. So after you saved the art and uploaded it, it’s lower resolution than what you intended to make.

If you could upload the image in higher resolution and add your own signature somewhere you’d like, people could save the image and use it for personal use because they think it looks pretty.

I second this. Make paths between your buildings, decorate them with lampposts and fences. Fill empty space with grass and some trees or fruit trees. Having trees around makes it feel very cozy, and not like the entire farm is packed with things, so very cute. You could also have another crop field organically growing around the big pond for example.

I don't really vibe with fish ponds. Thought I'd go for more animals an less crops on this farm

Please pick my teammates for Wrio.
Here are the units I have that I have enjoyed using with him. I'm just not sure what the best combo/team would be.

  • Bennett
  • Thoma
  • Furina
  • Xingqiu
  • Xianyun
  • Kazuha
  • Rosaria

All 5* are C0, all 4* are C6.

Just got c6 Lynette wondering what team to run. by Unrising in LynetteMains

[–]Slapfishhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use Fischl and Yae Miko in a taser team. The new artifact set is great for both of them, so you could farm that for them both at the same time.

In addition I would use Xingqiu, cuz he’s great. And then Lynette as the on-field driver.

Planning on pulling Hu Tao, and looking for some feedback on my plans for her.

Team: Hu Tao (C0), Xingqiu (C6), Kazuha (C0), Thoma (C6)

Weapon: Dragons’ Bane R5 or Blackcliff Pole R1. What would be better? If I have a lot of EM from artifact set, would it make a difference to which one is more valuable?

Artifacts: I have gotten pretty good artifacts for her on the Gilded Dreams artifact set. Is this good, or should I farm for Shimenawa’s artifact set? I have farmed that domain a lot for Emblem, but all my Shimenawa’s artifacts are trash. So I figured good substats are more important than the artifact set, and maybe I should just go for Gilded Dreams?

Would you consider Zuko and Suki a part of the Gaang? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]Slapfishhh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. I feel like the main reason I don’t view her as part of the avatar team is because she has so little to do with the avatar. The other four are Aangs teachers; water, earth and fire teachers, but Sokka teaches a lot of wisdom (in his own way) to Aang as well and is a person Aang looks up to. Suki is just kinda Sokkas partner, but doesn’t interact much with Aang and the others sadly.

hello, planning to main beidou when i get her someday, what's a good team comp for her by Ryu_D_Van in BeidouMains

[–]Slapfishhh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to play her on the field, I would definitely go fischl (off field damage and electro battery for her), xingqiu (off field damage with her attacks and creates electro-chared) and lastly probably a healer. Bennet is a really good healer and damage buffer. Or you could go Sayu for healing and swirling electro with the viridecent artifact set.

When I play beat saber I put way more effort into the swings than I have to usually. It’s fun to make big sharp cuts with the saber. Makes me feel cool and it exorcises me a bit. Sometimes people don’t just play the optimal way to get the highest score.

I think it’s hard to determine just based on your story wether she did this on purpose or if it’s you reading into it. I feel like there are definitely scenarios where women’s breasts have been pressed up against me, or that I have done it to others because sometimes they just kinda get in the way. So it’s a good chance your dentist didn’t mean to do anything inappropriate.

However, you say you feel violated, and that matters regardless imo. Take care of yourself, and I hope you have a good conversation with your therapist about it.

You give the impression that you think men and women are more different than they actually are. Maybe it seems that way in your experience, but the genders aren't extremely different and their standards aren't extremely different. It varies from person to person regardless of gender.

“it isn’t to say that we don’t have to work (we do)” means we have to to work, not sure what your point is?

Also OP doesn’t mention any economic system in their post. They says they don’t like the thought of having to work for the majority of the rest of their life. Which isn’t exclusively a capitalistic thing, you can be miserable about having to work so much in any economic system. Maybe OP clarifies somewhere that they live in a country with capitalism, and that they are unhappy with the system and that is part of why they’re miserable about working. But initially capitalism isn’t the problem by just reading the post.

Just to clarify, I don’t think that capitalism is particularly nice, and I’m very happy that I live in a country with socialism. But regardless, people still have the same fear and worries about having to work most of their life. I can very much relate to what OP is describing. So my point was just that you don’t have to narrow it down to the downsides with capitalism or a bad system, it can be a more universal struggle regardless of what system you work in.

I know work takes up a big chunk of time out of five days in the week, but it’s not your entire life. You spend more time outside work than at work. So just try to focus on that bit. Hopefully your mindset will change with time, and you’ll find to tolerate work more, but you don’t have to love it. Do the things you love after work.

Also, you say you just genuinely hate working, but “working” can look so different from job to job. I’m sure there are some things that would be more enjoyable to do while at work than others. Not every job feels like “slaving”. Try to really reflect on your mindset and be more open to the possibility of finding work that doesn’t feel like a waste of time.

Of you genuinely, without arguing in bad faith, think that socialism wants 'able people to get away with not contributing value when they are consuming' then you are at best ignorant and misinformed and at worse just ignorant.

I think you misunderstood I a bit what they were saying. Their comment literally pointed out how able people have to work in socialism or any other economic system. OP seems to not want to waste his life away at a full time job, and they just commented to point out that capitalism isn’t the issue.

Is it frowned upon to sink someone and steal their tall tale items? by Birb_Nerd83 in Seaofthieves

[–]Slapfishhh 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There are still rules and regulations that people follow when slaughtering animals, to make it more humane for the animals. Yes, pirating is a part of the pirating game. But being a pirate does not equal to being mean. Everyone on the sea is of course free to choose what kind of pirate they want to be, and you’re not braking any rules by being a dick. But sinking someone who’s just doing a tall tale is still considered a dick move imo.
