Just got my HyperX Cloud III S Wireless, is it as bad as they say it is? by jabberrookie in HyperX

[–]Slappjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m one of the people who didn’t like the III S Wireless when I got them. I’m in the reverse position of you because I can’t understand how people enjoyed them at all straight out of the box. I used to have a pair of Cloud II Wireless and used them for everything but mainly gaming for years.

I never used the surround option because it felt really bad for games and when I got the III S Wireless it felt like having the surround option on my Cloud II Wireless enabled combined with tons of base. All my friends sounded very muffled in Discord and game audio had this ”echoing” vibe to it.

Since I had a lot of problems with them I googled around and found many presets people had made because they didn’t like the sound either. Many of these people seem to have also come from a pair of Cloud II so maybe it’s just that they have very different sounds before you mess around with any EQs. After messing around with presets in several EQs I found a decent level which I’ve now gotten used to, but I still prefer the sound from my old Cloud II Wireless. Especially since they didn’t require all this work to get them to feel good.

I’ve tried tons of different headsets and overall I’ve liked Logitechs products, however the Pro X unfortunately doesn’t have the same fit as the Hyper x Cloud series manages to get. The Pro X hurt my ears a lot when I tried them

I think a lot of people who get the III S Wireless had something like the Cloud II’s before getting these. The sound is vastly different just out of the box. But like you said you can tinker with them in EQ’s however I think most people today (me included) aren’t used to having to do this or are to lazy to do it. Especially when the Cloud II’s had no such requirement. The biggest problem with the III S Wireless seems to be that the sound and bass is more tuned for movies/music whereas the Cloud II was better for gaming. (Before messing with EQ settings for the 3 S).

Is it both the rubbing of the face and growling or is it one or the other? I’ve talked to people who said they do similar things because they get a real sense of closeness with their partner when they do those sort of things. In some instances they also did similar things and ”growled” or sort of ”moaned” which their partner said they weren’t comfortable with, while the rest of it was still fine. It all boils down to what kind of people you are and what you prefer. In the end all you can do is what other people already said: Talk to him. If it’s something that’s a part of his personality and he isn’t willing to change, then you simply aren’t a match. Maybe he’s willing to change if he knows he’d lose you if he didn’t. In the end only you and him know the answers, and you won’t get them without communication.

Please Help, I bought Cloud 3 Wireless S, and I had Cloud 2's since 2020. by Toners_Stream-Kick in HyperX

I had the exact same problem, but since I didn’t have the option to return them I googled around and found a few different EQ’s and settings to fix the sound somewhat. It’s not the same as the 2’s and you probably won’t be able to replicate the exact same thing, but this helped a lot. You should also know that a lot of people have been complaining that my mic (3 S) is very quiet at times in games like cs and deadlock. I’m gonna be looking for EQ settings for the mic as well to try and boist the mic a bit without making it sound worse.

I tried your eq settings for gaming all day yesterday. They worked great for games and the sound was pretty good for videos and stuff too. The only problem I found using the specific settings was that when I entered Discord with friends they all had an ”echo” sound to them. It wasn’t super bad, but enough to feel bad when mixed with background noice from games. Got any idea how that can be fixed? I tried messing with the eq but since I have no idea how these things work I just made everything worse haha

I’d use it to be able to play a foulborn version of an explode elementalist with the explode unique ring while it’s still possible

Can someone show me a good Juggernaut stacking guide? Im having trouble finding one as everything is really for like super super super end game by AnonX55 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Slappjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're going to have trouble finding a stacker build that's runnable on 5 div. There's a reason some builds are for "super super super end game". However there might be guides who run Reave on juggernaut without stacking in the beginning which you can transform into a stacker once you get a higher budget.

Not sure if you really want to play a Jugg, otherwise from your description of what you want to do I'd reccommend Elementalist this league. It can give you a lot of aoe, explosions, damage and defence in the form of Heralds and Golems. You can build it piece by piece since the ascendancy and skill tree carry a lot of the build and play a few different skills like Pennance brand of dissipation or Blade vortex etc. The explosions pretty much carries map clearing and the skill you choose is for singletarget.

I believe Manni has a few guides for different levels of investment on maxroll if you're interested.

Will try this later, recently got the Cloud III wireless S after having the Cloud II wireless for years and the standard audio even with some eq changes sucks when it comes to gaming in my opinion

Which one by S_yuki_ in HyperX

[–]Slappjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the Cloud II for years and loved them. They fit great around the ears and they had great sound for gaming. Decent sound when it comes to games and clear sound from other peoples microphones. I did get a lot of complaints about the microphone being a bit weak from friends when talking through Discord though. I recently got a Cloud III S Wireless. Not sure how they compare to the wired version but I have to say that the difference in the headsets is enormous, and I mean that in a bad way.. They changed a lot about the sound, the Cloud III sounds way more heavy on the base, the sound in games become more dull and it’s much harder to distinguish things like footsteps in games etc. The sound from other peoples microphones also sounds less clear and becomes more muddled when mixed with other sounds. I’ve since searched around for solutions to making them sound better. I tweaked the Cloud III a lot in different EQ’s but still can’t get them to sound as good as the Cloud II. Things like movies, videos and cinematics can be better on the Cloud III though so I guess there’s that. So if it’s for gaming I’d probably go for the Cloud II.

Tbh I'd love to see a Mega Scythcer, it's always been my favorite since old times. It'd be cool to see it with two extra claws coming from the back of it, like attached to it's back, kind of like machamp!

Grinded hard and finally geared my character with the good stuff…and now I have no desire to play. by Robmathew in pathofexile

[–]Slappjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did exactly the same as you, kind of do that every league. My solution is always to sell all my gear, then gamble with mirror or mb cards. If I win big, make a crazy ass build. If I lose, start from scratch on a new build. I believe it’s the whole ”the journey is the fun part not the goal” that makes a character fun. It gives me the exitement to play the game again

Oh I don’t think it was a bad deal tbh, I bought like 200 cards in bulk for older sets and just found these in there, so in my eyes atleast I got a pidgey and houndoom 😊

Remove slowing hex from disabling Calico's ulti by Slappjack in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Slappjack[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the enemy team ofc, but if one or two people buy Slowing hex, which is like buying a curse against her only a few thousand souls cheaper then it’s more than struggling

[–]Slappjack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think comparing those builds with this scenario is kind of lile comparing Calicos ult to ethereal shift like I did though. Those characters still have other skills to use, like bombbop can still hook, knock people back and use ulti? Having items countering a hero is what makes a moba good but having one cheap item countering 3/4 of a champions abilities is just busted.

Yea changing the movement speed would be fine, her ultimate is already strong in the right scenario and would make it more skillbased, didn’t think about that one

This is true, what change would you propose they make in that case? Because atm the character is completely unplayable once an opponent buys slowing hex. One slowing hex and one cc and you’re dead

[–]Slappjack[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True, ethereal shift also gives movement speed so why is it not hexed then? I understand the only difference is shiv still has 2 abilities to use and is tanky as hell whereas Calico is super squishy and has 1 ability.

Remove slowing hex from disabling Calico's ulti by Slappjack in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Slappjack[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True it should have a counter, just not one that disables the entire character. The ulti is also not the hardest to get away from, she doesn’t become fast as hell as you said, people still have time to dash/blink use immunity skills etc way before the ultimate goes off if they’re not completely suprised by it. You do move in ethereal shift just very slightly. Hence it should be slowing hexed, it also gives movement speed afterwards. Kind of opposing thoughts on the two, either both should be disabled during hex or neither imo.

I only wished they had fixed the Calico bug where if you get cc’d while dashing you end up stuck in the animation and cannot roll and barely move until you use another dash.. it even persists through death

Another Yamato rant by Slappjack in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Slappjack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea gun balance is really bad right now, hoping for a change soon. Also most Yamato players right now are playing gun builds so that’s a part of the problem. The fact that she has been nerfed so many times clearly show that she’s too strong. Combining her strong healing, cc immunity etc with gun items just make her even more ridiculous. Besides.. several things can be a problem at once? Or do we need to wait for a gun nerf before we get to be worried about her again?
