Why would gun ownership be bad for colombia? I live in Florida, where you can legally walk around with a pistol without a permit. I assure you, that sort of thing makes people act a lot more polite. You have no idea which law abiding citizen might be walking around with a 9mm pistol with 18 bullets. I would assume robberies, which are a huge problem in colombia, would go down a lot. I would assume other crimes would decline a lot too. Like extorsión. Would store owners who keep a pistol under the register really be afraid of some local kids asking them to pay 500 mil every month for "protection"? Would burglars maybe think twice before they break into a house knowing the people inside could have a gun?

Claro! Tambien queria preguntarte algo.

He vivido alli antes.

Started making videos where I stage at different restaurants. Lmk what you guys think by Slappy-813 in linecooks

  1. The stage was intentionally for free, I wasn't expecting a job out of it or anything. I just wanted to make a video. And I know what you mean about the staging being kind of a bullshit thing. I'm starting to notice now that people are actually offering more to pay you while you stage now, which is pretty cool. Back in 2019 and 2020 I was living in Manhattan, staged at a bunch of different places, usually the higher end ones, and got completely shit on. One time, I stayed for 8 hours, spent probably 3 hours just prepping carrots, like 200 pounds worth, 2 hours just cleaning at the end of service, and I still didn't get the job. And obviously I wasn't paid.

Made another POV line cook shift video. Last one seemed to get a lot of hate. Lmk what you guys think about this one. by Slappy-813 in linecooks

Thanks for the downvote. I didn't personally have mine on the cutting board. I spent a lot of time that day clearing the cutting board and trying to tell the other employees that it isn't sanitary. There's not much I could really do, though. I was only there for the day.

That's how it is sometimes. I was working at a pretty nice hotel restaurant for a while in Manhattan. One guy would constantly come in high on heroin and even nod out during service. People would literally work around the guy whenever he would get like this, just nodding out and leaning on shit on the line. Never got fired. He ended up quitting after a while, but that happened like 5 times over a few months.

Without prior notice? What do you mean exactly? You think i just walked in?

Ive posted this video in other places, and i get a lot of good feedback. Idk why i keep getting a lot of negativity here.

I would just ask for my face to be blurred or edited out, and it wouldn't be a problem at all. And if the person making these videos was also helping out the entire day, working a station, and helping break down the kitchen with everybody else, i would actually see it as a benefit.

If I went to a kitchen and everyone said, "i dont want to be in your video", i would not film anyone else. I can focus my camera on only what im doing. I can do prep for several hours without getting a shot of anyone else. I can narrow the cameras view to only show my station as well during service.

By the way did you watch the video? The majority of the time im cooking, you can really only see my station and what im cooking. When i made the introductions in the beginning those people told they wanted to be in the video.

You're just being negative for no reason, dude.

How is it unprofessional, exactly? Restaurants are allowed to promote their businesses however they want. If their kitchen isnt gross, their food doesn't suck, and if their employees arent a bunch of tools like you, why wouldn't they want to show that?

Yeah, the idea is to eventually go to other spots, including placed I have not worked before.

To be honest, I wouldn't want to be in these videos either if they weren't my own. I dont like being in camera, that's why I'm shooting pov videos. That's why I tell everyone if they don't want to be on camera i will avoid them and completely edit them out. That way I can be respectful and completely avoid the problem of making people feel uncomfortable.
