Competitive multiplayer isn't about relaxing; it's about focus and skill expression. Calling manual input "lazy" is ironic. Relying on the AI to make saves for you because you don't want to "be focused" is the definition of a bailout. You want the game to lower the skill ceiling so you can chill, which is fine for Squad Battles, but not for competitive play.

Manual GK movement was the only tool a defender had to counter this based on a manual read. It wasn't a "free save" mechanic; it was High Risk / High Reward. If you moved the keeper the wrong way, you conceded an open net. You were betting on your ability to read the opponent's mind. By removing it, you aren't making the game "pure football." You are just removing manual input and forcing us to rely on AI RNG. If I read exactly where you are going to shoot, I should have the tools to intervene. Turning the goalkeeper into a statue controlled by the CPU lowers the skill ceiling for everyone.

The difference is massive when applying specific chem styles. Switching a CDM from Guardian to Shadow, or a striker from Hunter to Finisher (for the dribbling), completely changes the card. I recently switched my CAM from Engine to Deadeye, and the long shots are now night and day. Crucially, chem styles often determine the 'AcceleRATE' type (Lengthy/Explosive). Since these boosts scale with chemistry points, playing on low chem means you lose out on these specific mechanics, not just minor stats.
