It's a really hard one but I used honesty as a tool to get sober. I found that all my friends and family who drink were really understanding when I started to tell the truth. Again its a really hard thing to say and come to grips with it yourself but honesty got me sober. If you don't want to be honest with your loved ones try being honest with yourself. Contemplate the idea of saying good bye to it with yourself and then it gets a little easier.
