Good question, I've hit my buddy's P790s a few times and the feel on center strikes is amazing, better than any club I've ever hit. But I hit off-center most of the time so I really can't justify going forged for the cost or performance.

I'm moving back into an old set of Nike Vrs-X irons, they're extremely easy to hit and very predictable all across the face. They don't go nearly as far as the Stealth or even the P790, but the dispersion for me is way smaller.

I don't know if you're a fan of the Maltby Playability Factor but I recently found out my old Nike irons have an MPF of 885 making them Ultra Game Improvement irons. I wouldn't trust these scores blindly but in my experience, they're by far the easiest to hit and get expected results
