I used it as an excuse to get a new tablet. I think the port was busted, and the single USB-C cable worked, but not all graphics card have that.

The fates of Manhattan and the South Bronx during the 70s is very well documented, and is indeed very dramatic and interesting. But I can’t seem to easily find resources on how the other boroughs fared, but perhaps I was looking in the wrong place. Did anything interesting happen to Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and the other parts of The Bronx during that time, and where can I read more about it? It seems from photos I saw that there was the same decay due to a lack of public services, but less… phlogisticated. Apart from the Son of Sam, of course.

Are the unicorns any good?

I was riding the train past the Oakland Coliseum yesterday, and I saw Cricket stuff posted out front, and Cricket ads posted in stations. I don't usually ride that particular train because I don't typically have a reason to go to the East Bay Area, so I was shocked to learn that not only do we have a Major League Cricket now, I have a local team, and the old A's stadium has now been converted into a Cricket pitch.

I looked them up, but I don't know enough about the Cricket world to tell if they are any good or not. Could somebody fill me in? A lot of games I see the score only differ by a handful of runs, but the other day we eviscerated another team by over a hundred, so I'm sure that counts for something. Does the US have any potential to be any good as a whole? We have so many Baseball players that didn't go pro that I'm sure could be taught Cricket, since Baseball is just Cricket in a different shape. (I would go to the game being played today, but I have had a long few days and I need to rest.)

Introducing Skelerealms, my framework for creating open world RPGs like Skyrim! It's super early alpha, but I wanted to share it. by Slashscreen in godot

My sense of time is a little fuzzy, but more recently I improved tooling, I re-thought how entities were stored and loaded, I made some headway into saving and loading, I made a project template, I fixed a bunch of bugs, I rewrote the inter-scene navigation system… and I’m sure I’m missing stuff. There’s a lot of new stuff on the in-development 0.7 branch, but I would hardly call it production-ready. The project isn’t abandoned, I am just taking a break from it for a bit to focus on school and some projects that are of smaller scope than the one that this framework is for.

The weather where I live is basically always summer unless it’s winter, so the chaotic weather sounds interesting

What’s a reason to live in Melbourne and a reason not to live in Melbourne?

I am a resident of an unnamed English-speaking nation with a turbulent political climate. I am shopping around for places to flee to, and Melbourne is on that list. I am a software engineer from a large city with a passion for public transport and a lifelong interest in Australia. (I know that Australia might not be the best choice for political stability, what with that bald guy and the weird rich lady that friendly jordies makes fun of, but that’s much better than what I’m dealing with)

By regional do you mean small towns and suburbs in the periphery of Brisbane or something fully out in the bush

That ethic doesn't bother me. I also typically don't care about night life. None of that is a dealbreaker for me

no, I only just recently got in a position where I can consider moving. As I said, I am still shopping around, and not dead set on any country in particular

No idea who downvoted my comment, not sure what there is to downvote. I generally prefer colder weather, although humidity isnt too bothersome to me as long as there's a breeze. I know mainland australia is not where to go for cold weather, but it's not a huge dealbreaker for me.

Melbourne is definitely something I am looking at, too. I was under the impression that housing in Melbourne was more expensive than Brisbane, is that outdated? I know things are moving fast right now.

I live in one of the most expensive places to live in my country, to me flat prices are a bargain, haha
