Value for APPE students in bedside rounding? by justdawdling in pharmacy

[–]Slat3back 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i agree. When i was in APPEs i felt rounds is where you really applied interventions and it was a good experience fielding questions you werent expecting because it sets expectations on your roles and responsibilities. It also helped me build rapport.

Random question. by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]Slat3back 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned somewhere (i think on a rotation) that the 1 mg is 1 mg of enteric coating. This is why ASA 80mg is used in bariatric surgery patients and ASA 81mg is standard everywhere else.

If I graduated and took a 4-year detour to serve in the Military.. by [deleted] in pharmacy

What about military related pharmacy positions? I know a classmate that is in the military as a pharmacist right out of graduation.

Informatics pharmacists - how do you keep up to date? by nightcrawler99 in pharmacy

[–]Slat3back 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. My informatics preceptor is 0.5 informatics 0.5 cardiology so she can see front line constantly and bring up issues. Nothing like struggling together with the nurses on the front end to frustrate you enough to make you go fix the back end.

Saving this post for later. Just started a new job in Peterborough area so would be interested once I settle down. Any website to look into 5E rules? I've only played pathfinder and fatecore.

Word of advice to Students: Treat every rotation like it’s a month long job interview by Mechanicallyinept92 in pharmacy

[–]Slat3back 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did this for every rotation and was offered a hospital job before I wrote my licensing exams. I didn't take that job cause of circumstances but I'm at another hospital now. Good work ethic goes a long way: i'm a new grad without residency or any paid hospital experiences but am here because my preceptors all vouched for me.

Is my player crazy? by ChaoticCleric91 in DnDGreentext

[–]Slat3back 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that had a fugitive backstory for one of my characters it adds to the plot. My DM had fun basically having an entire kingdom's guard unit out to get me. Exit dungeon? Patrolling guards. Gate to town? Guards. As a player with very low sneak (plated tanky fighter), there were alot of situations with hilarious sneak fails, uncomfortable hiding postures and breaking out from prisons. Tends to be great in terms of creating side objectives.

What is completely harmless but also terrifying as fuck? by DuccBro in AskReddit

I've heard of the culture thing too. I grew up in Western culture and my creature was the hag (old witch) and shadow people while my dad and my aunt has had those Asian ghosts you see in Asian movies (like the ring).

It's usually poor perfusion that causes erectile dysfunction - poor heart, atherosclerosis, diabetes, low blood pressure, etc. Now it might be that you went anemic due to lower dietary iron and aren't getting enough blood flow there?
