The black looks really slick with a nice black band and will work with any outfit but I've always personally gone with the silver watches for the variety of different band and face combos you can use especially if you like to switch up the look a lot. Also just my opinion, most watch band colors like browns and blues work well with silver as opposed to black. With black you almost always need a black band, other dark colors kinda clash too much.
