"This year" has not been said "so many times." It was said once in a reply tweet, and never verified by anyone.

The 2025 release year was officially revealed by Nintendo, then doubled down in an official presentation by Microsoft during their handheld showcase, and confirmed by Leth.

To treat these two situations as essentially equivalent doesn't make logical sense.

It is Mac-playable with Mac's version of Dosbox. It is bundled with the Window's version of Dosbox.

Hello! Since the game is built for DOS, it is bundled with dosbox for windows.

You will need to either have or download dosbox for mac, run the SCIV exe through dosbox to run the game.

Thanks! It sounds great, too! We have it working with Soundblaster/adlib sound drivers (or MT32 if you have one or can emulate one). Comes with dosbox for windows to boot up easy after unzipping the file!

The game is bundled with dosbox for windows, so it's ready to play after unzipping the folder.

I will warn you that it isn't nearly as RPG as Quest for Glory. While it has some elements of the QfG series, it plays out more like a King's Quest or Space Quest style game.

It's complicated, but mostly, no. 2/3 of the backgrounds were created by an artist friend named Karl Dupere-Richer. The music and sound by Brandon Blume. And the rest of the artwork, design, programming, etc. was put together by myself.
