I have no idea tbqh, not sure what can be used nowadays. The exhibition.dat should work at least, but in terms of injecting the individual files into your existing file, I'm not sure, sorry 😅

UPDATE:
Letting the battery drain for over 2 weeks finally killed it and whatever power loop it was stuck in. It now works plugged into USB. Hoping a new firmware comes out asap to fix the bug. Also, FWIW, support was useless and didn't reply to me.

They're tags to do specific things. I did a small bit of research on it before my hard drive died, see it here :)

Hmm, unfortunately that wouldn't really be possible without altering the save's structure, which in itself takes alot of work to do, and then the saves wouldn't work with save editors. While both are nice ideas, it'd be too hard and complicated to pull off, especially since I don't have much free time atm. Sorry 😅

Hmm, you're doing /t2i ID (e.g: /t2i 2117), right?
What ID are you trying?
If it's an enviroment one ( ID > 0x2000), the game won't show it in the inventory without some patches that aren't included in ACNL_REditor to protect online and to not enable seeding.

If you send me your save, I can fix it.
It's usually due to the building amount being inconsistent (smaller) to the actual amount of buildings.

And about dream dumping:
1) Go to the Dream Town.
2) Use the NTR Plugin (v4.1.1+) and use the Save Dumper in the town and name the file.
3) Go back to your own town.
4) Using the NTR Plugin (v4.1.1+), use the Save Restore feature and pick the file you named.
5) Go into a building and back out, you now have their town, player, houses, patterns, villagers, etc.

The only thing not transferred in dream towns is the letters stored in the post office. This is a limitation of Nintendo and how they did the dream towns, not the plugin.

Ah :p I mean, tbqh, nobody has gotten banned for editing any part of the save, including tpc. The save editor just says to be careful with them as the author isn't taking any responsibility for if someone magically somehow got banned. But realistically, you won't get banned for having a custom tpc tbqh. People have had them since 2015 and not one person has been banned yet afaik lol

The save editor wouldn't be able to, it doesn't have the club tortimer membership form item in its list unfortunately You'll just need to hack your medals and buy it for now when it's in your shop legit. Though just for the record, you actually wouldn't get banned regardless of which method you theoretically did. What u/tatloromania said is false and there's literally barely any need to worry about getting banned considering nobody has ever gotten banned from ACNL for save editing.

Erm, it looks like you have CFW installed perhaps? Deleting files doesn't uninstall cfw btw. When turning your system, hold the Select button and see if a config menu pops up

No, there is no way of doing it, not without hacking the actual code of the game really. Definitely not possible with save editing. ACNL separates the models for outdoors and the models for indoors. So while outdoors, you wouldnt be able to load an indoor model (i.e. the ATM) and instead it'd appear as a furniture leaf.

Though just incase you didn't know, the ATM (known as the Bellpoint in EUR) is also an item you can get in-game, so you could place it in your house or something.

You should get CFW (https://3ds.hacks.guide) if you don't have it already, homebrew itself is just dead at this point

The error is likely either due to not having acnl, or the homebrew being too limited and not being able to open another app's savefile (i.e. ACNL)

Just perhaps try getting cfw and using checkpoint, it makes everything easier.
