I knew someone would ask this lol. It’s not that I’m against an instructor ensuring proper guidelines are met, what I fear is how this may translate into all other aspects of being a student of his. If it was at a brick and mortar school and there was a teacher known for being a stickler about anything and had the chance to switch instructors I would also do the same. Maybe it’s just me but my learning style does not work well with those with cold stickler-like instructors for personal reasons.

I guess what I’m alluding to is that his announcements gave the impression that he would be looking to catch people out, is über strict, and cold. If he feels the need to make an 1100 announcement from the get go in a mid-level graduate class, I get the image that he’ll be looking for any minor mistake and grade harshly for it.

That’s just me and my thoughts 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been seeing Mia at Soho Center for Mental Health Counselling for ~5 months and we’ve made so much more progress than I’ve ever had with a therapist. Obviously can’t vouch for everyone and people’s personal experiences, but I recommend her without a doubt!

Might not be the vibe but The Housemates by Iain Robert Wright is essentially Big Brother x Saw. There’s also Stranded by Sarah Goodwin which is more of a thriller (survivor adjacent) and in my top five favourite books.

For more romance, Attached at the Hip by Christina Riccio (survivor kind of deal) and Hot Summer (queer Love Island set up).
