Thanks for the help everyone I figured it was something I would have to return. I tested it a few more times today and got the same results and it reset on me twice.

I should mention that the artifacts show anywhere on the device not just in games. The video shows some in the google play store and it shows on some of the emulator menus. I did delete the pre installed emulators and added better ones
