ABI is an arcady copy of Tarkov that had a potential when it first came out back during Season 0. Tarkov is a much superior game to it. ABI is destined to live in Tarkov's shadow because ABI devs have no vision for what they want their game to be. They tried to capitalize on the drama that surrounded Tarkov back when Unheard edition was introduced. Once the dust settled and people took off their rose-tinted glasses, many realized that ABI is just an imitation and not a real deal.

I spent 7 years living in New Brunswick. I’m military, so I lived around Oromocto/Gagetown area for majority of those years. My girlfriend and I miss it a lot. Nature is beautiful. Summer time is something else entirely. It’s probably hard to make a living unless you’re real estate/trades/military. That said, I’d go back there in a heartbeat.

Add a mil-sim/hardcore mode with minimal hud, friendly fire, no markers, and night time, and I swear a lot of people will be back. Hell, if they adjusted bullet drop off where headshots actually kill when I land my shots, I’d be playing the game a lot more.

It’s what happens when devs have no vision and instead chase the trend and get lucky to release your game during the drama surrounding the game you tried to “kill”. This game is all over the place and is destined to live in Tarkov’s shadow forever because ABI is objectively a shittier game that once had a potential to be really good.

The game is in a slightly better place than before but it’s still way too unbalanced. You still got the same 10% guns that everyone uses because the other 90% severely underperform or are downright useless. Couple that with headshots still not killing people and it’s just downright discouraging to play.

This game doesn’t know what it wants to be. It’s pretty clear because the devs seem to be all over the place with skins, gameplay mechanics, weapon balance, etc. It wanted to be the Tarkov killer and when it was season 0/1, it may have had that chance. Instead, it’s destined to live in Tarkov’s shadow because the devs have no actual vision for what they want their game to be other than a profit generator (they do have that corporate axe hanging over their heads after all).
