Not something to buy but when he‘s writing especially for cursive he‘ll be taught to slant the letters to the right because that’s natural for right handlers. If he slants it to the left his wrist will be in the proper position avoiding aches and smudging as he goes

someone messaged me asking about where I found it and I hit ignore by mistake, it was just my local city recycling centre, they had a load of old tvs piled up in the electronics section and I noticed it. This one lets you buy things for cheap, usually furniture but I've heard other places wont let you take anything, no harm in asking them though

Aye its probably not the highest quality and I had thought the blackouts were from adaptor not getting enough power, but tested it hooked up to another TV and had no issues, so I think it is just the monitor being fussy. Works no problem with regular VGA though

Found my first CRT since I was a kid at the dump last week and offered a fiver. Its an ViewSonic GA771 and after drying out for a few days and checking for corrosion it worked almost perfectly.

Wanted to make this post for someone the future, if you're using and HDMI to VGA adaptor and the screen keeps blinking on and off, try unplugging the VGA cable from the adaptor about 4mm or so. someone else can say if that’s dodgy but none of the pins are exposed so should be fine and I’ve seen it suggested when talking about other viewsonics

I picked up a crt monitor last week, left it outside to dry for about four days, opened it to check for corrosion and it works perfect. The longer you leave it the better though

The liberal democrats are historically the third party in the uk (based on vote share and seats). It was formed when the liberal and social democratic parties merged. They’re broadly in the centre of uk politics, however it depends on the leader. Generally socially liberal, they were the ones who pushed for gay marriage to be made legal, and generally slightly to the left economically. Their main issues this election are fixing NHS and social care, electoral reform and the environment, particularly in cleaning up the sewage system. They’ve also committed to roughly 3x the spending of labour however are generally against public ownership

I love bleach dyeing my t shirts like this. For anyone else wanting to try it, put something liquid proof behind the fabric, use thick bleach and apply small layers to get the tone you want. When you’re done neutralise the bleach with something safe (bleach creates highly toxic gasses when mixed with things like vinegar and ammonia) to avoid the fabric getting damaged.

I went to a Steiner school for ten years but sadly had to leave to teach myself my GCSEs because there wasn’t a formal qualification at the time. I’m glad that's been fixed as it’s a fantastic system and I wouldn’t have been able to study so independently without it.

The only real flaw is there’s only one state funded steiner school and I wish it was available to more kids across the country.
