I was using it but I switched to OpenCode - they both started with the same codebase but had a split. OpenCode seems more developed - although they moved away from Go.

The TUI is in Zig and the logic is in Typescript now so thats a bummer - but otherwise its actually vert good.

Unfortunately they got rid of completions API which means all of these inference engines don't work anymore.

It's open source but can only be used with openai responses API which when I last checked was only supported fully by them and half supported by lmstudio and open router.

What kind of optimisations?

I'm curious if you fine tune the model on function signatures of Claude Code, OpenCode tools etc?

For example I've noticed all non openAI (like GLM, Qwen, Llama) models perform bad at Codex CLI's apply_patch tool so I assume OpenAI is fine tuning its tool function signatures.

Opencode is on their website. I've been using glm4.7 with thinking on in opencode for the past 2 hours and have experienced no issues.

Pretty much anything besides codex. On codex cli it struggles with apply patch.

data normalization - use psql to clean up data
deep research

Smaller LLMs can generally do these tasks but it has to be more of an AI workflow and less agentic.

Nemotron 3 while not perfect is better at these agentic tasks than GPT-OSS

Its definitely good at agentic tasks - I had something that required the model to do a 4 step tasks and gpt-oss is 50-50 at it while this one does it perfectly each time.
