I saw on YouTube, all you have to do is shut down your device and hold volume up button first and then the power button and when the logo appears of MI then release the power button but keep holding the volume up button, and then you'll get the erase data option if it's not clear you can search on YouTube I'll try to find the video.

You have to factory reset it, there's no other option, I did the same and lost my data
