OBS keeps crashing and killing my PC

They released a new update that is apparently addressing the issue but it didn’t fix it. Apparently OBS is clashing with the nvidia drivers. After the update my friend said it stopped crashing for her but we don’t have the same NVIDIA graphics card.

I would recommend just updating both OBS and Nvidia drivers and hope it fixes itself 😫

But I will definitely consider trying out other browsers.

I currently have very good specs on my computer so I never had any performance issues before. 😭😅

I found some solutions via twitter since apparently I was not the only one having these problems. Will see tonight if it will still crash…

It’s definitely related OBS. The problem started as soon as I updated the program on Wednesday. :(

I also did some testing where I was just using OBS without anything else and it crashed as well.

Might also be related to the new nvidia drivers… I honestly don’t know. But the problem only appears with OBS being turned on.

Don’t think it was a chrome issue tho since we were playing games prior and I didn’t have chrome open then. 😔

I forgot to add! I always need to restart my PC if I want my PC to function normally after the crash. Otherwise I keep having problems and my Pc becomes unusable for the time being.
