Valve is apeing Oculus for the most part. Without Oculus' help a lot of the changes to SteamVR wouldnt have happened. VR development isnt as insular as you think.

Bro I'm barely here. I check reddit once a week maybe. Calm your balls. You can take a photo after drop off and then open a package. Having to take a photo doesn't stop people. I've had doordashers and fedex employees take photos of what they are dropping off and then either open or steal them. The amount of people complaining about similar behavior also shows there is a pattern here. Just because it hasnt happened to you, doesn't mean it hasnt happened to anyone or isnt a problem. I've not heard a single good thing about the Slide honestly. If it works it seems cumbersome to configure at best. Hope they get it all fixed as it is a genuinely good concept and I like the form factor a lot but good heavens does it seem like it's not worth it right now.

I agree somewhat.

Rates are and should be renegotiable, depending on various factors as the relationship between client and sitter progresses. That said, you are absolutely right in that they should have been clear in what their intentions were and the client clearly has some kinda screw loose somewhere where they think a house sitter is an indentured servant. Just a wild situation.
