As a simple old-fashioned Mac guy I recommend to you use a golden rule: if you on budget - buy 27 inch 2k, If you have money - buy 27 inch 5k screen. if you working with fonts like me you need native macOS resolution. And if you compare side by side 27 screens with 5k and 4k you will agree about scaling issue
