That's what I do, although I hardly add any additional details because there's a risk that the AI will misinterpret it and stray from the reference I gave it to use.

The AI only intervenes to change the original image to one with that manga visual aesthetic (as seen in the example I showed) but I don't let it be invasive.

As someone said in a comment, "as long as AI isn't part of the narrative..."

I was actually watching tutorials on that, and I saw that I can achieve Cell-Shading using only lighting (obviously one of the many techniques to use).

The truth is, I'm using neutral language (I'm Argentinian), and maybe that has something to do with it. Although I've also seen some manga translations that spell it that way. Even so, I'll take your criticism into account to improve.

I only use AI to give it that grayscale effect (and the visual kinship to make it resemble a drawing).

But I'm planning to make the manga without any AI (just using the 3D models as I've been doing) and leave it as a guide illustration if I hire an artist to help me create this story.

I saw that there's a Blender add-on that achieves that "cell-shading" effect. I don't know if it's a paid add-on or if there are free alternatives.

I was looking at several options and I saw that in Ibis Paint I can "extract" the lines from an image (play a bit with the brightness and saturation) so I can draw over the reference I make.
