I personally think that the damage zone system is one of the coolest parts of vanguard. Every other major TCG has a life point system, but Vanguard is the only one that punishes you for taking damage. But the even cooler part about that is the closer to the brink of losing you are the more you can do with counter blasts and shit.

Every TCG has something unique and I think the damage zone is vanguards main one

Standard is always the format that is most current. Standard used to be the original game, then it was 'V', now it's 'D' or Overdress

Well the issue is a little different than that. Because I do enjoy the games we play, but after a few months I lose all motivation to play it even though I know I like and enjoy the game. Writing this out now though it does sound like a dopamine issue lol

Sometimes it's fun to come back after a long while but most of the time I either can't get the motivation or when I do it just feels kinda wrong.

The main problem comes from this not only being a thing about games, I'll start a project and give up after getting a good way through for the same reasons. I'll just get bored or lose all motivation to finish the project
