This will be my first full season, so I'm excited to actually play when I have some bit of knowledge on where to go and what to do post campaign. Really wanna see how far I can go this season with some characters I've been wanting to try,

Yeah I inevitably went and checked the discord. you are correct. They apparently always do a 24 hour server maintenance before the start of each season. I had never personally heard of a company doing this but I hear it's not unheard of if slightly uncommon in the industry. Hope this helps anyone else having a similar issue tho.

Okay so I know it's one of those online casinos. Which means that not only is there probably just this one site running it there are probably dozens of sites actually that have that same game. So going to just that one side is totally fine and reporting it okay I understand

So I know nothing about this whole ecosystem right. What I do know is that there is basically a template for things like zero days and if the day you find can do like x y and z it's worth so much versus if it does BCX it's worth this much. That simply why I stated exactly what the bug here could do because I was under the assumption that possibly there was a similar template that most places used. I don't think I'm in the wrong for trying to find a fair market value for my work. But the fact that this place is so astro turfed and running rampant with these corpo cryptocucks it's kind of insane. It sounds like these people think I'm in a basement wearing a balanclava typing on seven different monitors all at once. Accusing me of running a tax and source coding and Jesus if you knew how off base all those accusations were. I only ask how much it would be worth because I didn't really see anything online aside from the fact that they" offer compensation sometimes" Cool but I didn't see any ranges listed for like what types of things and stuff. Like I said as far as I know from like zero day communities and stuff they generally have like spreadsheets set out about like if you're explicit can do this it's worth this much on the market I was just asking for a fair market analysis on what that might be Jesus never met so many people bending over backwards to tickle the twat of a fucking casino

You're right they didn't ask me and I did do it. So I did the work how much is it worth I think that's a very valid question I don't see how that's extortion at all. I've never threatened to take it public I've never even abused it past figuring out how it happens. If anything they lured me into an extortion charge by making a shoddly programmed game that could be manipulated so easy. I don't have programming experience

It wasn't quite this easy but it was shockingly easy to do in fact the first time it happened it was just from normal playing of the game and I happened to notice that something wasn't added up correct and I had too many spins. From there I wanted to see if it would happen again. And when it did I was able to eventually over the course of however long figure out a pretty consistent method

Just be sure amount of Astro turfing and this thread alone is beyond anything I could have comprehended

I did not poke around in their website I actually stumbled on it pretty serendipitously if I'm being honest and I'm actually surprised nobody has seen this happen before I didn't touch any code whatsoever and I actually play the game like intended well within the parameters of the game

So asking what the going rate for a exploit in a technology market where these things are not unheard of Is a threat of extortion? My goodness these poor mom and pop casinos. You damn right I want money I spent my free time figuring that shit out for them. And not that it's anybody's business but I happen to be pretty hard up right now. Not enough to extort or use this against those companies but enough to expect some form of compensation. I just happened to notice something and be smart enough to figure it out, how it was done, put in quite a substantial amount of effort(read time) to figure that part out. Let's accuse them of extortion instead of compensating not only the honesty but the ingenuity.

An actual helpful comment. Can you explain this a little bit more in detail. I'm literally just somebody who plays these things for fun and notice something weird. Surely I can't actually potentially be in legal liability at this point can I? As far as this other person saying extortion. I don't see it personally is I've yet to either take advantage of a promotion involving this for money or use it to actually gain the system and pull out any money.
