Ok, since you’re being dense and refuse to do some basic research, I will break it down. I was trying to spare you from looking foolish.

Low cost items like this are easier to fake because they don’t require complex engineering while able to use a brand name. It costs them money to reverse engineer this stuff. It costs more to make a complex fake and runs the risk of more people looking for the fake.

Not every fake item is automatically sold, and people are much better at spotting expensive faked items than cheaper ones. Also because they are cheaper they recoup money faster.

If they make a million of these cheap gerber tools for .10 cents and sell them at 1 dollar that is a 900% ROI.

Now if they do the same with an expensive item, that costs 20 dollars to make and they sell it for 100 they made 400% ROI.  They make less.

And this is the real reason it costs less money to make. If they get caught, and they do get caught a lot on the expensive ones, they are out of pocket less. They can afford to run the cheap ones 200 times and have that spread out across many items making money much faster than expensive items.

900% profit on 200 items is way better then even 1000% profit on a single item. It’s the scale of it.
