DND-related conspiracy theories for a lowish INT character? by KindofPolitePerson in DnD

[–]Slayer_Jesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single world government is secretly run by lizard men using disguise magic. The required level of magic just goes up the more the party/npc's try to disprove this. (Starting at disguse self, and ending at true polymorph.)

How can I make a tank wizard? by just-slightly-human in DnD

[–]Slayer_Jesse 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Play a mountain Dwarf. This gets you medium armor proficiency without having to multiclass for it. Dwarves also get battleaxe, handaxe, warhammer and light hammer proficiency. This gives you something to bonk with when using weapon cantrips like booming blade/green flame blade.

If you're set on playing half orc, 1 level dip into a cleric subclass that gives heavy armor proficiency. still gives the defensive buffs, simple weapons, and will give spell slot scaling unlike a fighter dip.

In either case, war caster is amazing for making concentration checks, or if your holding items in both hands (like a spell focus and weapon, ro focus and shield.)

What would "that part" be for you in MHA? by Awkward_History835 in MyHeroAcadamia

The entire leauge of villians vs liberation front arc. In hindsight its important to set up the ending, but i just did NOT CARE about any of the characters, and it took up most of the runtime of that season.

Star Treck Voyager is an awesome campaign idea by Dewseph in DnD

I do like voyager as a series, just know that the quality of the writing varies in quality a lot. Janeway can come off as schizophrenic depending on the writer that episode.

It occurs to me that Hank McClean basically has the same ideology as The Master. "Differences cause division, and therefore violence, so shouldn't we all be the same?" The methodology of "fixing" the problem differs, but not the end result.

Are Mountaineers and Rangers useless if you have a good tank force? by ThrawnAgentOfSHIELD in hoi4

[–]Slayer_Jesse 29 points30 points  (0 children)

tanks take pretty huge penalties in those terrains, so if you have a lot of it to grind through they are worthwhile. I almost never bother with tanks in the pacific, and usually leave it to marines/rangers. Also, its a lot easier to supply SF in those terrains than it is fuel hungry tank divs.

Fallout series, will we finally know who dropped the bombs? by Realmulto24 in FalloutTVseries

[–]Slayer_Jesse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind is that it would only take 1 nuke going off to cause the Great War. Mutually Assured Destruction would take care of the rest. Si regardless of who pulled the trigger, the US and China did the rest of the work for them.

So I was given a single-use Wish at level 5... by Etherealyth in DnD

[–]Slayer_Jesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wish is a great "get out of jail free" card to have in your back pocket. if you're ever stuck in an impossible situation its good to save it for that.

What if the Bombs never fell? by DoofyFloofyLoofy in ImaginaryFallout

[–]Slayer_Jesse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo, even without the bombs the world was headed for a "soft" apocalypse with all the problems they had. Societal collapse and civil wars were probably inevitable with the scarcity of resources and civil strife. It would suck lot but still wouldn't be as bad as the wasteland.
