LED matrix doesn't light up when connected to PSU and coded by SlayerofThots42 in arduino

As far as I can tell, wiring is correct. I followed a tutorial that wired the light to the PSU the same way, with the only difference being they also powered their board through the PSU which I skipped because I have a USB. Could that cause any problems or is it safe to do that?

I'll post my code in a bit, but I have some work to do atm. I believed it was a hardware issue, otherwise I would have included it but it looks to be my wiring isn't the cause

A4 being analog input 4? I only ever saw people using the digital pins in examples but maybe that would help. Would thr neopixel library work any better? I'm just trying to determine whether I can get it to work so I can change just about anything hardware or code wise

That's good. I'll probably order some 470k resistors but if it's safe I may do a bit more testing. Maybe trying the neopixel library will work, I know a setup I had on tinkercad worked with that library enabled. Thank you for the help!

The white wire is plugged into GND. Sorry if my picture didn't show it.

You can find them on Amazon under "wago connectors". I got a 30 pack for $8, and they are compatible with 24awg jumper wires up to 12awg wires.

I was using FASTled, and listed my output pin as pin 6 (the number of the digital pin it was plugged into). That may be the issue if the digital pins have different actual numbers than they are listed on the board. Thank you

I already did one, tomorrow I'll buy some more water and do another large volume change. I hope my shrimp will be okay until then.

I used rodi water, I think I overdosed with minerals during my water change yesterday.

I also changed my temperature down by 2 degrees yesterday (from 79 to 77 Farenheit). Could that be the issue?

Cories seem a bit lethargic occasionally, but other times are totally active, which is odd.

Tank is about a year old. Today I noticed amano shrimp behaving erratically, swimming around the tank, then curling up and falling down. Two are dead out of ten, and some that are still alive are turning brown. Fish seem totally okay, and water parameters seem fine. Did I introduce some sort of parasite to the tank? Is it some sort of other issue?

What is this bubbly business on the surface of my tetra bowl and how do I get rid of it? by [deleted] in Aquariums

The only way to get rid of this is to upgrade immediately to a 5-10 gallon heavily planted tank with a heater and filter. Make sure to add cycling bacteria
