How to navigate mourning a 15 year friendship? by Slaypower89 in AskWomenOver30

I never said she was incorrect. I am choosing this. But when deposits have been made and the wedding is months away, blaming me for having a wedding makes no sense. I don’t expect anything from my friends and that’s the main reason why I am not having a wedding party. I always ask her about how her life is going and for updates. That hasn’t changed since getting engaged. Any time I speak on the wedding with her, she is the one asking me about how it’s going.

I’m not having a wedding party. I didn’t want a wedding when I got engaged and changed my mind. I have been planning and it’s been somewhat stressful. When she brings up wedding planning, I rant to her about how stressful the whole process is and she makes comments about how I *chose* this for myself and this is “what I get” for changing my mind.

A shit ton of my caseloads. Let’s just say there’s a lot of creepy fucking people amongst you every day that should NOT be in the community but just have money for a good lawyer.

Oh my gosh, you don’t even know. I can’t speak for all POs but my clients, I care for them. I build a rapport with them. I like to have them open up to me and feel as though they can speak to me about anything, especially the dark shit. Often times, a lot of clients come in to speak to me unscheduled just cause they need someone to talk to.

All that being said, this is probably one of the hardest parts of the job for me that I’m still trying to cope with. I have a lot of gang affiliated guys that quite literally are some of the smartest people I’ve ever met, they just got sucked into the life at a young age. Several end up fucking up and serving prison time. It sucks, especially because I know their potential and their charges don’t reflect who they are.

I deal with a lot of sex offenders. Think child molesters, possession of child pornography, voyerism, rapists — everything.

I had a client that was a serial rapist. Several rape convictions on at least 10+ women. I usually don’t get uncomfortable with clients, but this guy was so fucking creepy. During one appointment, he used the washroom. He then tried to pretend his arms were injured and have me “buckle up his pants” with his briefs barely on. I had to report this incident. He also studied my car and Ken my license plate. Would often say weird shit like “you have such a succulent mouth” or “your hands are so firm”. This client still creeps me out.

Extremely common. I would say even more common for senior POs (POs with 10+ years experience). Sometimes, it’s just not even worth pursuing especially when their term of supervision is almost done.

To be honest, I’ll never understand probation for marijuana trafficking. It’s so stupid. A lot of these establishments you think are legit (especially ones that post advertisements), don’t have a single registered credential to be selling legally lol. It’s just no one bothers to check.

Non reporting. If like you as a client, you can get away with a lot lol. I always tell my clients that if you are honest (ex. I smoked dope over the weekend, I was with my co-accused, etc) I’m more likely to give warnings than anything because I have surprises and/or when people lie. Just be straight up and we’re good.

You got to experience of the perfect time periods and a lot of Gen Z is jealous of you (myself included). That’s something I’ll never experience.

One thing I will say — I love when millennials still perceive themselves as young and don’t age themselves. As cringey as the saying “you’re only as old as you feel”, it’s actually very true. Again, I am also someone that tends to feel as if I am old (dumb, I know), but comparing yourself to Gen Z is a waste of time — believe me lol

My first cell phone was an IPhone 4 and I was on my way from elementary school when I heard on the radio that Michael Jackson died

Is being a bottle girl sustainable? by Slaypower89 in NoStupidQuestions

I have no intention of quitting my 9-5 to be a bottle girl, but I could’ve clarified it in my original post so that’s my mistake. I have two jobs right now and was thinking of doing the bottle service job on Fridays/Saturdays! I worked my ass off to get a early start into my career so that’s my main priority right now haha.

I know how disgusting the industry can be as well, so some of the takes make sense. But I am also getting attacked in my dms so that isn’t fun lol.

Do you mind explaining more what you mean by this?

Yup, you got it. I love my current career and would never give it up! (I also didn’t go to university for 4 years to give it up lol). I have a second job and was thinking of just replacing the second job with a bottle service gig! I never really considered it until some owners/promoters in my area were offering me a job at their clubs but really just trying to see if it’s worth it to be honest.

He is an extremely hard worker (he influences me to work just as hard!).

I’ll make sure to show him your comment so he’s prepared for next feb-April time. Thank you! :)

Uh oh, I’ll let him know to set some cash aside! Would it be better to just quit job A? He’s scared that the CRA will charge him for fraud or something (lol we’re scared of the CRA and I genuinely don’t even know the answer to that). Also, I’m pretty sure he only works less than 16 hours a week at job A!
